Chapter Six

Jacob POV:

She kissed me. I was so surprised, but I was extremely happy. It felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. We hung out the rest of the night & finished half of the movies until she fell asleep in my arms.

She was so warm. Her hair smelt wonderful. She's Native, African American & Puerto Rican, so her hair was naturally curly. I'm so glad that she is finally mine.

I woke up & saw her laying in front of me. I kissed her neck a couple of times.

She turned around & smiled at me. "Good morning!"

"Good morning beautiful."

"How did you sleep?", she asked me.

"Great because I got to wake up next to you.", I said with the biggest smile ever.

"Aww. That's so sweet!", she said kissing me. She was blushing, her face turned red.

"You're so adorable when you blush." She giggled like a 5-year-old. I stood up to take a shower when I felt her soft hand grab my wrist.

"Come back & cuddle with me.", she said pouting.

"Baby, I have to take a shower. After my shower, I'll take you wherever you want then I'll hold you all night long, okay?"

"Okay..", she said in a low voice. I kissed her forehead & walked into the bathroom to take my shower. 15 minutes later I walked in my room with my towel around my waist & she was gone, then I heard the shower running in the other bathroom.

20 minutes later I heard the door shut & saw her in the mirror doing her hair. I walked up behind her & grabbed her by her waist & kissed her on the neck.

"I'm so happy right now.", I said.

"Why is that?"

"Because I can finally be with you & not keep my love for you a secret.", I said pulling her closer to me.

"I'm happy too. If you mess this up then this is it. I'm not too sure about second chances."

"I promise not to hurt you." She turned around & kissed me. Her lips were so soft.

"Let's just try to make the best of this, okay?", she said looking me directly in my eyes.

"Okay, Julie Bug. Are you ready to go?"

"Yess. I am"

"Where do you want to go?", I asked.

"I want to go to Zaxby's & then to the beach.

"Okay. Let's go."

We decided to drive my car. So, I opened the door for her & made sure she had her seat belt on. While we were on the way to Zaxby's, I noticed how she was staring at me & she was smiling.

I laughed & said, "Why are you smiling & staring at me?"

"Because I love you." When she said that it felt like I got butterflies in my stomach & my heart started beating 10 times faster.

"I love you too baby." I was trying not to blush, but I couldn't help it.

"Jacob.."

"Yes?"

"What are we?", she asked with a worried look on her face.

"What do you mean?"

"Are we dating or not?"

"I'm thought we were.", I said with a smile.

"Well I don't know because you didn't ask me.", she said with a smirk on her face.

"I will. I'm just waiting to ask you at the right moment."

Then her smile dropped & her eyes filled with tears.

"Babe, what's wrong?"

"It's just that if we're together, then you would only want to hang out with me in private. You might not want to be seen with me in public"

"Babe, it's not like that at all, I promise. I just want to ask you at a great moment. You wouldn't want to remember me asking you to be my girlfriend while driving to Zaxby's 10 years from now, would you?"

She laughed then said, "Well I guess not."

"And why wouldn't I want to be seen in public with you? You're different from other girls, your classy they're not. Your beautiful, hilarious, the sweetest person ever, a genius & the girl I want to call mine. I want to be seen everywhere with you."

We pulled up in the Zaxby's parking lot & ate. Then 30 minutes later we left for the beach. When we arrived at the beach, we walked out to the water holding hands. I went to go walk a little deeper in the water, she pulled me by the hand stopping me.

She took her hands & placed them on my neck. "That was really sweet what you said earlier." Then she came closer to kiss me.

"I meant every word."

I looked out at the water then at her, she caught on to what I was hinting at.

"Oh no! There is no way I'm going in the water!", she yelled at me & I laughed.

"Okay, you don't have to." I picked her up in my arms & whispered in her ear, "You don't have to go, I'm making you go!" I ran full speed in the water & basically sat her down in the water so that the waves ran her over.

"Oh my gosh! Jake! Your gonna pay for that!" She ran & grabbed a hand full of water & splashed me.

It got into my hair, but I pretended that the water & sand got into my eyes. "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, Julie! The sand & saltwater got into my eyes & I can't see! It burnssss!" She ran over scared for her life.

"Oh, my goodness! Baby, I'm so sorry. Let me get it out." As soon as she walked up to me I grabbed her with both my arms around her waist, so she wouldn't be able to run away.

"Gotcha!", I yelled & tightened my grip.

"Hey! You tricked me!", she said pouting with her puppy dog face.

"Awe. I'm sorry, babe. Don't make that face! You know I fall for it every time!", I lifted her face up by her chin & placed my lips against hers.

We were looking in each other's eyes for a minute when I decided to break the silence. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
