Chapter Five

Julianna's POV:

We finished watching Princess & The Frog & Jacob ate all the breadsticks & pizza but the hot wings were MINE!

He cried at the end of Princess & The Frog. Which made me laugh. "What are you laughing at?", he said with tears in his eyes & trying to hide his face.

"I'm laughing at you! You were complaining about watching it & now your crying & it seems like your in love with this movie."

"Well don't laugh at me. The shadow man shouldn't have killed Ray! We all have a right to live!", he said as his eyes filled up with more tears.

It was so cute seeing him being so emotional. "Aww, don't cry. Come here.", I said comforting him & holding him as he cried on my shoulder. "Okay, the movie is over. You can pick one of your movies if you want."

"Okay!", he said with his baby face. He looks adorable when he pouts. He picked 'The Grudge', which made me really uncomfortable. I hate horror movies.

We were 20 minutes into the movie. I didn't even watch it, I was terrified. I had my hands over my eyes & I would peek through my fingers every now & then. I felt a hand touch my shoulder & I screamed but it was Jacob. He laughed at me screaming.

"It's me, Julie. Don't be scared."

"Don't laugh it's not funny!", I whined as I slapped him on the arm.

"Are you really scared?"

"Yes! There is no way I'm faking this.", I said with my hands over my eyes.

"Come here." He grabbed me by my waist & held me. I put my face into his shoulder when I heard scary music. "I got you Julie Bug, I'm here to protect you. I promise.", he said lifting my chin up so that I was looking him directly in his eyes.

I smiled at him. "Thank you. You're so sweet."

"I learned it from the best, which is you."

I placed my head on his shoulder. "Why were you about to fight that guy this morning?", I asked very concernedly.

He looked at me & took a minute to reply. "Because he said something I didn't like."

"Well, what did he say?"

"He called you a whore, directly in my face. He knew you were my only true friend I had & wanted to piss me off so I would get kicked off the team. If you weren't there to stop me, I wouldn't have played tonight. Thank you for always being there for me. I love you.", he said with a smile.

"Your welcome. Thanks for taking up for me, but don't get into a fight because that jerk off said something. You will go far in life & don't let your bad temper stop you! I love you too."

He took a deep breath, closed his eyes & said, "Julie, I have to tell you something."

"What is it?", I said with a worried look on my face. He took out his phone & started looking for something. "Jake. You're making me nervous, please tell me."

"Well remember when you were going with Lucas in the 8th grade?" I nodded. "Well when he hurt you, I wanted to kill him. I feel in love with you before you guys were got together. I want you, Julie. I'm in love with you. I loved you first." I was shocked.

"Jacob..", I started to say but I couldn't find the right words to explain.

"Julianna, please say something, I totally understand if you don't feel the same way.", he said.

"Jacob, I don't know. I see how you treated the other girls. I don't want to get hurt."

"But I've never loved those girls. I'm in love with you, I want you. I promise not to hurt you. Trust-"

I cut him off & kissed his soft lips.
