Chapter Twenty-Three

Julianna's POV:

Saturday

I woke up to the smell of bacon, pancakes & eggs. I sat up & saw Jacob wasn't next to me. I went downstairs & saw Sophia holding a plate while Jacob put the food on it.

"Good morning Mommy !", she said with a big smile. When she called me mommy it just made my heart melt, but in a good way.

"Good morning mamas! What are you doing?", I asked then kissed her cheek.

"Me & Daddy made you food so your tummy won't growl.", she said making me & Jake laugh.

"Yeah. We woke up before you & we didn't want to wake you up. So we made you breakfast.", Jacob said turning off the stove.

"Awe. Y'all are so sweet.", I said kissing Jacob softly & taking my plate.

We ate breakfast & I cleaned the kitchen since they made the breakfast. I walked out the kitchen & I saw Jacob run downstairs with Sophia on his back. I went into the living room & sat down.

"So what are we doing today?", Jacob asked sitting next to me & turning the TV on Nick Jr. Sophia came & sat in between us, resting her head on my shoulder & watching TV.

"Today I really wanted to go to the courthouse to adopt her & later on today we can decorate her room & unpack some of her clothes.", I said looking down at her.

"Alright. Well let's go get ready.", he said standing up.

"You shower first while I get Sophie ready.", I told him. He nodded his head & went upstairs. I picked Sophia up & threw her over my shoulder & ran upstairs making airplanes noises, making her laugh which made me laugh. Her laugh is so contagious.

I gave her a bath & washed  her face & brushed her teeth. I went in her room & put her on a cardigan, a white t-shirt underneath, a pair of skinny jeans & TOMS. I put her hair in a bun & put a white bow in her hair. Just when I finished her hair Jacob came in.

"You look beautiful princess.", he said picking her up. I noticed he had on white as well.

"Tank you Daddy.", she said kissing his cheek. I already know she's gonna be a Daddy's Little Girl & he's gonna spoil her.

"I'm going to go get ready.", I said walking out Sophia's room. I showered, washed my face, brushed my teeth & got dressed. I put on a white sundress, white wedges & put my hair in a pony tail. I grabbed my phone, my purse & walked out my room. I went down stairs & I saw Jacob sitting down in the living room with Sophia.

I went into the kitchen to make Sophia some lunch just in case she gets hungry while we're there. I packed her a turkey sandwich & cut it into fours, some carrots & grapes in a small sandwich bag, 2 juice boxes, a mini water bottle & a Uncrustable peanut butter & jelly.

"Babe! Are you ready?!", Jacob yelled from the living room. He must think I'm upstairs.

"Stop yelling. I'm in the kitchen.", I told him while packing all this stuff in a lunch box. Sophia walked into the kitchen before Jacob.

"You look really pweetyy Mommy.", she said smiling at me.

"Thank you. Your look really pretty too baby girl.", I told her.

"You look gorgeous baby.", Jacob said kissing me.

"Thank you. Now lets go.", I said grabbing my purse & the lunch box.

When we arrived at the courthouse the had us wait a minute before anybody could speak with us. I was thinking then  felt a tap on my shoulders.

"Mommy, I'm thirsty & hungry.", Sophia said. I went the lunch box & took out the sandwich & a juice box. I got a napkin & put two pieces of the sandwich on the napkin because she doesn't eat much.
