Chapter Fifty-Five

Julianna's POV:

 "Babe?", I said.

"Hmm?", he answered.

"How many kids go you want?", I asked randomly. I sat up to look at him.

"What?", he asked confused, with his eyebrows furrowed.

"N-nothing never mind.", I stammered.

"No. Don't take it the wrong way. The question just caught me off guard a little.", he said pulling me into him so I was laying back on his chest with his arm around me.

"Okay. So how many do you want?", I asked.

"Um, probably like 10. That's it.", he said like it was nothing.

"Just 10?! Are you crazy?", I asked, sitting up. He just laughed & pulled me down next to him.

"I'm kidding but I do want a big family though.", he said, lightly rubbing my stomach.

"Me too.", I whispered back.

"What time is Sophia coming back?", he asked.

"Later on today. Mama & Daddy wanted to spend time with her today. So most likely she'll come back with hundreds of toys & things that she doesn't need.", I said, while playing with his fingers & looking at our matching promise rings that read 'I Won't Give Up'.

"Soo, what are we going to do today?", he asked.

He didn't have to work today or train & I don't go back to work until next week.

"We can go grocery shopping because I need more eggs & some other stuff.", I said.

"Alright, grocery shopping it is.", he smiled.

We were in the middle of shopping until I heard someone call my name.

"Julianna, sweetie. Is that you?"

I turned around & saw Andrew's mother.

"Hey Ms. Georgia. How are you?", I asked giving her a hug.

"I'm fine just doing a little shopping. How about yourself?", she asked.

"I'm good. Shopping so I can make dinner tonight for my babies.", I said. I looked at Jacob who just smiled & kissed my forehead.

"Babies?", she asked confused.

"I'm sorry. It was rude of me. Ms. Georgia, this is my boyfriend Jacob. Jacob, this is Andrew's mother, Ms. Georgia.", I said, introducing them to each other.

"It's very nice to meet you ma'am." Jacob said shaking her hand. She returned the hand shake with a warm smile.

"It's nice to meet you too. Aren't you with Andrew?", she asked.

"He didn't tell you, did he?", I asked her.

"Tell me what?", she asked.

"We aren't together anymore.", I said.

"What?! Why not?", she asked.

I sighed deeply, not wanting to bring it up. I felt Jacob rub my back softly.

"He um. He cheated on me.", I said, uncomfortably.

"Stupid jackass.", she mumbled under her breath.

I giggled a little & Jacob tried not to laugh.

"It's okay. Things happen for a reason, right?", I said.
