Julianna's POV:

Friday

Today is the day all the kids come back. Most of them had the flu. I've become attached to these kids a little but I've become really attached to this little girl. Her name is Sophia & she's 2 years old. She's the cutest thing I've ever seen. I think her mom only signed her up for dance class thinking it's a day care.

"Okay kids I'll see you on first thing Monday. Behave & be safe!", I said hugging them all.

"We will.", they yelled back in unison while walking out with their parents. Everybody walked out but Sophia.

"Sophie sweetie. Do you know where your mommy is?", I asked kneeling down so we were the same height.

"Noo. I don't want to go with her.", she said quietly.

"Why?"

"Because she doesn't wike me.", she said looking down.

"Your mommy loves you."

"No. She twold me that she doesn't want me anymore & that she hates me, I'm a crybaby & a brat.", she said with her eyes filling up with tears. That just pissed me off. What parent tells their child that?

"It's okay baby girl. Don't cry.", I said picking her up as she laid her head on my shoulder. Just as I wiped her tears her mother walked in.

"Sophia lets go!", she said yelling at her.

"Pwease don't wet (let) her take me Ms. Jwuie. (Ms. Julie.).", she whispered in my ear. It broke my heart seeing her like this.

"Can I talk to you for a second?", I asked her mother. She nodded her head slowly, rolling her eyes. I put Sophia down. "I'll be right back, okay ?", I told her. She nodded her head then sat on the floor pulling her knees to her chest.

Me & Sophia mom walked outside to the hallway so we could talk.

"What did you want?", she asked with an attitude.

"Um Sophia told me earlier that you told her that you hate her & called her a few names. Is that true?", I asked nicely as possible.

"Yes it's true! Because of that little brat my man left me! He was the best thing that happened to me until she was born.", she said rudely.

"Then why didn't you put her up for adoption?", I asked looking at her in complete disgust.

"I don't know.", she said carefree.

"I'll keep her. Pack her bags, & bring them over here at 7. & I promise you won't have to see her again.", I said folding my arms across my chest.

"This has to be the best day of my life. I'm finally getting rid of that little mistake.", she said smiling big & running out the door.

I walked back into my dance room where I saw Sophia practicing her pencil turns. I was watching her carefully & she finally did one. She started clapping, jumping up & down. She saw me & ran into my arms.

"I did it! I did it!", she said smiling big.

"I saw you. You did so good. I'm so proud of you.", I said kissing her cheeks.

"Tank you. Am I going home with her?", she asked.

"No. How do you feel about staying with me?", I asked.

"I wuv it! Yay!", she said hugging me tightly.

We were playing, laughing & dancing until we saw her mom walk in.
