Chapter Fifty-Two

Jacob's POV:

"Daddy, can we play play makeover?", Sophia asked me.

I was lounged on the couch taking a power nap. I opened my eyes & saw Sophia with her Princess Tiana dress on & her curly hair everywhere.

"Soph, have you asked your Mommy?", I asked. I was tired as hell. I had to work double & I'll have to go back in early tomorrow morning at 5:30.

"Mommy, is in the shower so can you play with me?", she asked, looking at me with her big beautiful brown eyes. God, it is so hard to say 'no' to her.

"Baby girl, Daddy is tired. Can we play tomorrow? Please?", I asked, nicely.

"Okay.", she said, looking heartbroken. Damn, I can't see my baby girl sad.

"Sophia, come here for a minute.", I said.

She came & sat next to me. I picked her up & muffled the wild curls on her head which made her giggle.

Lately, Julie let her wear her wild curl out but in any other time it'll be in a bun but since her hair is growing so much it gets hard to handle sometimes.

"How about you & Mommy go & play makeover. You can go shopping, get hair & nails done. How does that sound?", I asked.

She had a huge smile on her face & her eyes opened really wide.

"Really?!!", she asked.

"Yes, really.", I chuckled.

"Thank you, Daddy!", she said kissing my lips before running upstairs to tell Julianna.

Not too long afterwards Julianna came downstairs.

"Did you tell Sophia that me & her can go & have a makeover?", she asked.

"Yeah. She wanted to play with me but I'm tired & her hair is bushy & wild so I told her that you & her can go have a makeover while I take a nap. I have to be at work at 5:30 tomorrow morning.", I explained.

"What time would you be getting off?", she asked.

"Midnight.", I muttered so she couldn't hear me.

Lately she's been wanting to spend time together but I've been working a lot so we aren't able to go out.

"What?", she asked.

"Midnight.", I said more clearly.

"Jacobbbb!", she whined.

"Julie, I know. I know. I promise to make up to you. Friday night is me & you. We can do whatever you want during the day but that night we are going on a date. How does that sound?", I asked her.

"Okay, fine. Let me go get Sophia dressed so we can go out & you can get a little rest.", she said.

"Bye, Daddy.", Sophia said.

"Bye Princess. Come give Daddy a hug & kiss.", I said stretching out my arms.

She ran into my arms & gave me a hug & kiss.

"Have a nice nap, Daddy. Sleep with angels.", she said, before kissing my cheek.

Julianna picked her up & was about to walk out the door then I remembered something.

"Wait, Julie. You forgot something.", I said sitting up.

"Forgot what?", she said turning around.

I reached in my back pocket & grabbed my wallet, pulling out my card.

"No, Jacob. I'm not taking that.", she said holding out her hand to stop me.

"Nope. You're taking it.", I said.

"But-", she started but I cut her off.

"Sophia, if your Mommy doesn't use this little card while you guys are out, you let Daddy know, okay?", I said.

"Okay, Daddy.", Sophia said nodding her head.

"Daddy's girl.", Julianna muttered.

"That's my Princess.", I said kissing Sophia's cheek.

Julianna rolled her eyes.

"& some day you'll be my queen.", I whispered in her ear.

She looked down as her face turned red.

"Come on sweet cheeks. It's time to go.", Julianna said to Sophia.

"Okay. Bye Daddy!", Sophia yelled over Julianna's shoulder.

"Bye baby girl!", I yelled back.

Julianna's POV:

"Mommy, you look really pretty.", Sophia said as we walked out the hair salon w/ our new hairstyles, outfits, polished nails & feet. (Sophia's oufit in MM]

"Thank you. You look really pretty too, Soph.", I said, putting her in her booster seat & strapping her in.

"We go home, now?", she asked.

"Yeah baby. We're going home now. Are you tired?", I asked, looking at her in the backseat through the rear-view mirror. She nodded her head as her eyes started drooping.

"Yes. & I miss my Daddy.", she said.

"Daddy's girl.", I said under my breath.

"I heard that Mommy!', Sophia said, which made me laugh.

"Sorry!", I chuckled.

I opened the door with a sleeping Sophia in one arm & a few bags in the other. I walked into the living room & saw Jacob sleep.

I didn't want to wake him so I put the shopping bags on the floor & laid Sophia's small body on his chest & watched her snuggle up closer to him & he held her closer to his chest so she wouldn't fall.

They are so cute. I could just eat them up.

I went upstairs & grabbed my hair bonnet & Sophia's. I went back downstairs only to see Jacob & Sophia both asleep with their mouths open. I put Sophia's hair in the bonnet before going back upstairs to shower & go to bed.

As soon as I closed my eyes, I felt two strong arms wrap around me.

"Jake?", I whispered.

"Hmm?", he answered.

"Where is Sophia?", I asked.

"In her room.", he said in a sleepy voice.

"Why are you in my bed & not yours?", I asked, turning around.

"Shh. Stop talking & go to sleep.", he said with his eyes closed.

"Goodnight.", I whispered. He pulled my closer to him & kissed the back of my neck.

"Goodnight.", he whispered in my ear.
