CHAPTER 26 - MIND GAMES 🧠

FYI - Start from now on, I will not use any of MAXNAT photo for this Fanfic because it's hard to find a photo to suit the situation.

Nath : Why does your face look so red? Are you embarrassed after hearing what I just said ☺?

Max: You think I don't know what you're trying to do here 🙂?

Nath: What?

Max: Mind games. You try to be nice and make me fall with your tricks 😌.

Nath: Mind games? The way you think is beyond my expectations. Am I wrong to praise you? *Nath chuckles*

Max: People like you compliment me, there must be something you want 😌.

Nath: What do you mean by "there is something I want" ?

Max: Why are you still pretending not to know? You want the CCTV footage, don't you 🙂? You know I won't give it to you. You have everything planned from the very beginning.

*Nath just sits on the beach mat and watches the waves crashing on the beach while listening to every word Max says to him*

Max: When I accused you of following me to the flower shop... You had it all planned out in your mind. You knew that I would feel very guilty, so you took advantage of the situation, and the only reason you did all this was to get CCTV footage. Am I right 🙂?

*Nath sighed after hearing Max speak his mind*

Nath: I want to avoid arguing with you about this. If that's what you have in mind. So, I'll leave it at that, but you should know if I want to get the footage. I should have asked for it from the beginning, but that wasn't my intention. I'm not bad enough to take advantage of your guilt.

Max: Not your intention? Isn't it obvious, but you still try to deny everything 😌.

Nath: Listen... The apology of 40% is done. I just want someone to accompany me to the beach. That all.

*Suddenly, Nath's phone rang. The panicked voice of the person calling Nath can be heard loud and clear *

Leo: Mr! Where are you? I'm in your bedroom, but you're not here! Where are you now!

Nath: Don't worry about me. I will be back soon.

Leo: Mr! How can I not worry? You are not in front of me. What if something happens to you? You know your family will kill me if anything happens to you 😭!

Nath: Leo, please calm down. I'm okay.

Leo: Where are you now ? Do ​​you want me to pick you up, or do you want me to send a bodyguard to pick you up??

Nath: Leo, I'm fine. I don't need anyone. I will drive myself home.

Leo: Please, please be careful while driving.

*Leo finds out his Mr. left causing chaos in Leo's head. He knew anything that happened to his Mr. would kill him. He was afraid that the Jace family would blame him*

Max: Let's go home.

Nath: I want to enjoy the scenery for a moment.

Max: Still not enough for you to enjoy it? I want to avoid being responsible if anything happens to you 😌.

Nath: You, right. It's still not enough. Do you know how hard it is for me to escape the world I live in now? Waiting for myself to have free time. Since childhood, this is the second time I spend time at the beach.

Nath: Theres is no more " Next time " 🙂. Didn't you hear how frantic my assistant was looking for me? I can only go anywhere with someone my family has hired.

Nath: I came here without someone hired by my family was the happiest moment I've ever felt. Wouldn't it be funny if I told you this. I always thought of a way to escape from my own home, but I failed.

[Escape? Why would someone like Nath who has everything in his life but try to run away from his own home? Max stared at Nath's face making Max realize that there must be something that Nath is hiding]

[Max starts to think that maybe Nath really didn't take advantage of the 40% apology, but he needed someone to accompany him. There were many others, but why did Nath choose him to go with him?]

[Nath, known as having everything in his life. Living his life as the youngest son of the Jace family. Everyone thinks there is no shortage in Nath's life but what Max sees is that he feels the loneliness on Nath's face]

Nath: It feels very peaceful listening to the sound of the waves when there is no one here except the two of us. Isn't it silly for me to wish if I could bring this beach back with me.

Max: I bet you have enough money to buy your own island.

Nath: If I had a lot of money like you said earlier... You are right. I didn't bring you here. We may be on my own private beach, but I'm not rich enough yet. All money is from my family, not me 🙂.

[What is this? Why does Max feel sad in every word of Nath? Max still doesn't want to accept a side of Nath that he never knew before. It is not appropriate for him to listen to Nath's story when he hates him]

*Nath's phone rings a second time, and he picks it up*

Nath : Yes, Leo 😑 ??

Leo: Mr, are you already on your way ?

Natha: I am 😑.

Leo: Well, if anything happens, just call me.

*Nath ends the phone call and sighs. Nath stared at the empty sea. Nath's eyes show no emotion*

Nath: Let's go home. You can wait in the car.

*Nath stands up and starts packing everything. Max left Nath alone and waited in the car. Max watches Nath from the car*

[The face of the little devil he hated turned into a face he didn't know how to describe. Is the devil not as bad as he thought? Does the devil still have an angelic side? Why does Nath's face look like someone who drowned in the deep sea]

[Max notices that Nath's eyes are no longer sparkling when Nath starts talking about his life. Max is very worried about not seeing the light in Nath's eyes again]
