Max: Now what should I do to make it not so obvious that I came to the event just to see him ? Think, Max, think 😫.

Max was afraid he wouldn’t be able to hide the excitement on his face when he saw Nath. Then, an idea hit him—why not pretend he was just messaging Nath to ask about the event ? He wanted to take things slow… to find the right time to confess his feelings.

For a moment, Max thought he looked pathetic—desperately trying to find a way to confess. Look at him now… he was so eager to meet Nath, even though he knew how hard it usually was to see him. Still, Max secretly thanked Owen in his heart for winning those two meet-and-greet tickets. Finally… he had the chance to see Nath again.

Max: Should I text him or not ? Sorry, Lyn 🙏🏻... I had to use you as my excuse to message Nath.

He took a deep breath before opening his messaging app, still debating whether to go through with it or not. Then, eyes shut tight, he tapped on Nath’s name and started the conversation.

Max: Hi 💬 ?

So nervous, Max quickly tossed his phone on the table after sending the message.

📲 Nath: Hi ☺.. Am I dreaming right now 💬 ?

Max: Whoa… why is he so fast at replying ? “He mumbled to himself in disbelief”

He took another deep breath, telling himself to calm down and not be too nervous while chatting.

Max: Am I bothering you 💬 ?

📲 Nath: Bothering ? Of course not. You just made my gloomy day disappear ☺ 💬.

Max: I just want to ask about something 💬..

📲 Nath: What do you want to ask me ? If you're going to ask me to be your boyfriend, the answer is Yes ☺💬. “Nath teases Max”

That reply made Max blush hard. A wide smile spread across his face, and his left hand gripped his phone tightly. He really couldn’t hide his feelings now.

Max: Aren’t you tired of teasing me all the time 💬 ? “Max tries to play it cool”

📲 Nath: Okay, okay… sorry☺ What do you want to ask me 💬 ?

Max: Do you really have a pop-up store event this Saturday 💬 ? “Pretending to ask—even though he already knew”

📲 Nath: Ohh… surprised you know about that 😏. Yes, I’ll be at the event this Saturday. Do you want to come ☺💬 ?

Max: My sister Lyn told me about it. Not sure if you still remember her 💬.

📲 Nath: Of course I remember. Why 💬 ?

Max: As you probably know… she’s one of your biggest fans 💬.

📲 Nath: Yes, I know. She’s welcome to come to the event. Tell your sister I’m inviting her as one of my VIP fans 💬.

Max: She can’t come that day 😕. So I’m asking for your help—as the owner of MeNu_P&C’S—can you keep 2 perfumes aside for me 💬 ?

📲 Nath: Ohh, I’m not sure if I can do that… but I think it might be possible if you come to the event 😉💬.

Max shook his head and bit his lip, thinking about how Nath always knew how to mess with him. Nath was always one step ahead—crafting situations that left Max no choice but to give in.
