'~Connor~'

I didn't think about my dad at all since Friday, instead I thought of her, the sole reason I was happy all weekend. The sole reason I was laughing and smiling all day.

I've never been more happy to go to school. I actually woke up smiling today.

And It's Monday.

"Good morning hun"

I lift my head from my phone to see my smiling mother holding my very sleepy and moody little sister.

"Morning Mom" I replied smiling. "Morning Annie" I kiss my Mom and little sister's cheek.

She lifts her head from where it was laying on my Mom's shoulder. She blinks tiredly at me before lying her head back again.

I chuckle before grabbing my bag and keys. "Do you need anything Mom?" I ask before leaving

She narrows her eyes at me, "Okay, I've been quiet for long enough" I frown as she puts a protesting Annabelle on the counter and faces me with her arms crossed.

"What's up with you? You've been in a good mood all weekend. I asked Liam but he said he doesn't know anything."

"Wait, you asked Liam? Mom, why do you have Liam's number?"

She waves a hand at me "You know Liam is practically my son we text all the time, now stop changing the subject"

"I don't even know what to say about that. That's just plain weird."

"It's not, now answer my question. Why are you so happy?"

I close my eyes for a second. "Am I not allowed to be happy?"

"Of course you're allowed to be happy, however you are not allowed to keep things from me"

I let out a sigh "Mom look I'm just in a good mood okay? Notihings going on and I really need to go to school."

"I'll see you later okay?" I say edging slowly to the door.

"Connor West Reed don't you dare step out that door"

Ah, full name. I Guess I'm going to be late today.

Twenty minutes later and a confession, I'm finally at school. My mom wouldn't let me leave unless I told her what was going on. Not being able to lie to my mom, I told her everything. The crush I have on Delilah, what happened on Friday.

Everything.

To say she was happy would be an understatement. After she scolded me for not telling her about Delilah all these years, she proceeded to tell me how happy and relieved she was.

To quote her exactly she said:

"Oh West I thought you'd be alone forever"

It's great to know I have such a supportive mom.

"Morning cap"

I nod towards Luke one of my teammates "Morning Luke"

He looks surprised for a second before he continues walking

"What is with everyone today?"

Heading towards where my lockers is I stop a few feet away stunned by the scene in front of me.

Liam's leaning on his locker which is next to mine, while Mia stands in front of him and a laughing Delilah stands next to her.

Knots immediately fill my stomach. I swallow harshly before making my way towards them.
