And I don't personally think the hospital is the right place for them to talk.
I don't know if he was confused or flabbergasted.
"We will talk tomorrow, after my duty," sabi ng doctor kay Tita Rein. He needs to fulfill his job. "You'll tell me everything, Rein."
Parang ako ang kinilabutan. He looked at Harminder who's silent beside them. Dr. Yohan tapped his shoulder before he excuses himself together with the other doctor.
He probably doesn't want them to meet, at least in situation like this.
Tita Rein hugged Harminder while tears are constantly falling from her eyes. She kept apologizing and Harminder just stood there, seemingly unable to believe what was happening. Everything was just so surprising.
Radish and Dexter have been moved to their respective room. My lips twitched when I saw the bandage on their heads, both were still unconscious and the results of the accident were visible on their faces.
I just now understood what the doctor said earlier. It's really not sure yet if they are both safe from death.
I refused to look at them for the second time around. I can't help but feel sorry for them, for what happened. I can imagine the pain they felt before getting into this situation.
I can't even think that what if Harminder is with them and this is not the night I supposed to introduce him to my parents?
The four of us are in Radish's room. Dexter's parents requested a personal room for him. The nurses who attended to the devices attached to Radish had just come out.
I don't know what Harminder was thinking at this time, pero awang-awa ako sa kaniya. He wasn't talking to Tita Rein and I was afraid to approach him because I couldn't see anything on his face. He was emotionless while staring at his sleeping best friend, even holding his hand. This must've been really painful for him.
Both of us are afraid to break the silence.
