I woke up, nervous as hell. We already had the lyrics and the background music of the song, we just needed to record the vocals. I picked out some clothes and went to shower. I didn't lock the door, because Felix was very sure to check I wasn't in the shower, and even if he didn't check, I didn't really mid if he saw me naked. Once I was done I did my makeup and got dressed, still basically shitting my pants.

I went into the kitchen and made my shake like usual, chatting to Changbin who was also in the kitchen cooking some veggies. Everyone had seen my shake by now so they weren't that surprised anymore. When I finished I sat at the table with my glass, and moments later Felix sat next to me.
"You're really good at Apex." He said, taking a bite out of his nut bar. "Thanks." I said, taking a sip. "Hey Kai, I'm sorry for being a bit distant lately, there's just something that I need to sort out and it's kinda confusing." He said after a while. "Hyung I get it ok? Happens to me all the time." I said, finishing the very last sip of my shake.
Soon after we left to go to the building. Chan led us to the recording studio, and we started to practise the parts we'd been given a couple days ago. I had a fast rap and a high note that I had to pull of, but everyone said that they knew I could do it, because I can rap really fast, and my vocal range is soprano. My old voice coach even told me that it was a really high range for a guy.
I started to practice in my little booth and my voice was warming up really quickly today. I easily hit the note, and successfully pulled off the rap pretty well after a few tries once I'd warmed up. I was still shitting myself though.
"Is everyone almost ready to start?" Chan asked. We all nodded and he smiled back. "We'll start now then." He signalled to our manager to start the music and we started to record. Chan started, and when it got to my first high note, I started off well, but of course I had to have a voice crack. "Shit. Sorry." I said, blushing. That was really embarrassing. "Language Kai." Said chan, looking at his paper. "You can take the Aussie out of Australia hyung, but you can't take the Australia out of the Aussie."
We started from Changbins part just before mine, and this time I pulled it off. When I finished the note I pumped my fists and waited for my next part. When it came, I did well. A little fast, but you really couldn't tell.
When we finished we all fist pumped and went to listen to the song to make sure we were happy with it.

"Fuck that's hot." I mumbled maybe a little too loudly when kais part came on. Yeh. He heard me.
