My Grandma was waiting just outside the door, sobbing. When I walked up to her, I didn't say anything. I just pulled her into my arms and started sobbing into her shoulder. After a moment she stepped to the side, and I walked into the room, pulling felix with me. I knelt down beside his bed and looked into his eyes. They didn't have their usual glimmer, and the seemed duller. They weren't his.
"Grandpa?" I asked quietly. I spoke in Japanese, because that's the only language he could speak well. "Kai? When did you get here?" He asked. "We got to the hospital about ten minutes ago, but that doesn't matter. I love you." He smiled and reached out for my hand. I grabbed it carefully and rubbed it. "Whose he?" He asked, looking at Felix.
I waved Felix over and he walked over, bending down next to me and smiling. "Hello." He said. "He doesn't speak Korean. Only Japanese." He tried again, this time in Japanese and of course he knew how to say hello because literally everyone does, but other than that his Japanese was pretty broken.
Grandpa smiled. "Hello." He said, holding his hand out to shake. Felix shook and bowed. "What's your name?" He asked. "Felix. It nice to meet you." Felix replied. "He's my soulmate. I thought you might want to meet him." Immediately, my grandpa smiled. "You found your soulmate. He seems nice." I translated to Felix and he smiled, thanking my grandpa.
For a while we talked, until a nurse came in. "Guys, it's time." I sighed and held his hand. "I love you grandpa, I'm going to miss you so much." I said, starting to cry again. "I love you to Kai. And remember this. Felix will bring you happiness when your the saddest. He'll be there for you. Don't miss me you much." I nodded and put my head on his hand. I bowed the deepest I think I've ever bowed before, and I said goodbye.
When we left the hospital and got into the car. I burst into tears and I recasted my head on the steering wheel. I sat the crying, and felix sat next to me, rubbing my back. "Cry as much as you need. It's ok." He whispered. We started that way until it was 10:00. I started to drive to my favourite restaurant, and when we got there there were only a few people left. We walked into the restaurant and we were greeted by a young lady, who we asked for a table toward the back. She nodded and brought us to a table at the very back of the store.
We thanked her and looked at the menu, and ordered. Felix got a miso soup and some Katsu pork. I just got some edamame. Felix tried to get me to order more, but I didn't.
When the food arrived we started to eat, and felix finally got me to break and share his pork and soup. I'm happy he did, because it was actually really good. We talked a heap while we ate and it felt good. He told me that he was there and that he could talk to me any time. When we finished we picked up a mini strawberry cheesecake to share and drove to a hotel that our manager had booked for us. It was a nice five-star hotel, and our room was on the top floor with a really good view.
We checked in and when we got to our room, there were two double beds, and a large tv between the two of them. We both sat on one of the beds and started eating the cheesecake, not speaking a word the whole time. When we were done we just sat there, until felix spoke up. "Do you mind if I ask a question?" He asked. "Sure." I replied. "How did it- happen?" He asked, referring to my grandfather. "A heart disease. It got really bad, and we moved to Japan for a couple years then it got better, and recently he's been in a lot of pain and I guess- he just couldn't handle it anymore."
As I finished explaining, my phone started to ring. It was the other members, in a facetime. I answered and sat closer next to Felix. "Hello guys." I said, waiving. They all waved back.
"Any news? How's he going?" Asked chan.
"He was in too much pain so they had to- he's gone." Felix clutched my hand tighter, as if to reassure me that he was right here.
"How are you going?" Asked Changbin.
"Ok. Felix made me feel better and we went out for dinner. We actually just finished a cheesecake. Don't worry. It don't have much sugar." I said.
"When do you guys plan to come home?" Chan asked.
"Tomorrow" I said.
We didn't talk for much longer because it was getting late, so once we hung up me and felix took turns in the shower. When I came out he was in bed, but one side was untucked. "Cuddles?" He asked. I nodded and hopped into bed next to him. He was so warm, and his arms around my body made me feel safe.

When I woke up in the morning, Felix wasn't beside me. I sat up, and looked around but I couldn't see him. I looked over at my phone, and saw a message from him.
Lixxie Hyung🤍 Hey Kai, I just went to get breakfast so I'll be back soon. 💕
The hearts at the end immediately make me blush. I got up and went to shower before felix got back and then made the bed. I started packing my stuff and put his in a neat pile,not knowing if he had a system. When I was done I sat down at the table and soon enough felix walked in the door. "Hey Kai, how'd you sleep?" He asked me, putting down the food and drinks. "Good. You're warm." I said, putting my phone down. He beamed, and handed me a drink as well as a bag of food.
"I just went to the 7/11 down the road and the bubble tea place next to it, so I hope you like it." I thanked him and started taking the stuff out of the bag. He got me natto, a hard boiled egg and a melon bun, along with a lychee macchiato with cherry blossom and lychee jelly, and a hazelnut soy shake. "I fucking love natto." I said, ripping off the lid and adding the sauce. "I'm glad." He said, taking a bite of his coconut bun. "Before we go we have to buy a heap, and bring it back to Korea." I said, taking another bite.
We finished pretty quickly, and once we'd triple checked the room we went to check out, but a HEAP of natto, and board our flight back to Seoul.
