1. Breaking

Rosie's P.O.V

"Alex, please don't do this!" I cried.

"I can't handle this anymore!" he yelled furiously as he walked away from me, reaching for the door handle at the front entrance.

"Please." I begged as I stared sadly into his big, brown eyes.

"Sorry." He whispered quietly as he slowly turned the door handle.

"Don't." I shouted as I grabbed his arm and snatched it away from the door. Alex didn't respond kindly and simply looked me into my eyes and frowned.

"I'm sorry." He whispered softly as he finally managed to open the door and leave.

My eyes started to burn and my heart was racing faster than ever. I felt like I was running out of oxygen. Everything around me turned blurry and I couldn't focus on my surroundings. Tears started to build up in my tear ducts and I could feel a few tears roll down my cheeks, reaching the corners of my lips, allowing me to taste the salt. The room started to spin and at the same time, I could hear the distant sound of Alex's car engine starting. Everything became so real, it was over. Eventually, I felt light, numb and suddenly, everything turned pitch black.

"Rosie. Rosie!" a voice echoed in my ear.

My eye's felt heavy and everything was dark. Slowly, I managed to open my eyes and I found Sara crouching on top of me staring into my eyes.

"Sara?" I whispered with a hoarse voice.

"Rosie! Oh my god! You're OK!" she smiled but I noticed her eyes water.

"Don't cry." I lazily exclaimed, forcing a smile on my face.

"I'm not." she laughed as she quickly wiped away an innocent tear from her cheek.

"Sure ..." I giggled sarcastically.

Sara smiled and kindly reached out to me and gave me a hand, helping me get up.

"Come on, sit on the couch and tell me what happened." she exclaimed.

Slowly I took a few steps as I was still feeling rather weak and by the time I reached the soft couch, Sara was already sitting.

"Tell me all about it." Sara announced proudly.
