Part 20. Surprise

Rosie's P.O.V

Luke and Chuck have returned to the room with food in their hands.

"Here." Luke handed Sara her burger with a polite smile on his face.

"So ... when are you getting out?" Chuck asked while adjusting his yellow scarf.

"About 2-3 days." I smiled.

Luke sat next to me on my bed and held the food that the nurse had previously brought in for me.

"Here, I'll help you." Luke smiled and picked up a fork, offering to feed me.

"I can do it." I whispered.

"Doesn't your hand hurt? I mean, you have an IV in it so it must be uncomfortable- let me." he insisted.

I nodded slowly and I could hear Chuck whisper something in Sara's ear. I looked up to find Sara look at Chuck with disgust.

"Shut up." she moaned.

Chuck winked at Sara and then sat down beside my bed, on the chair that Luke would usually sit on.

"That's Luke's chair." Sara hissed.

"Well, he isn't sitting on it- he's sitting on the bed." Chuck pointed out sarcastically.

"Ugh!" Sara groaned in annoyance and took one final bite of her burger.

"Aren't you going to finish?" Chuck stared at Sara's unfinished burger.

"I'm not hungry." she sighed as she got up from her seat and left the room to throw away her burger.

"You need to chill man." Luke exclaimed.

"Oh please. She loves me really." Chuck announced confidently and winked.

"I don't think she does." I mumbled under my breath, hoping that no one heard what I had just said.

"What?" Chuck asked, his eyes growing big.

"I said she doesn't love you."

"Hmm ... we'll see about that." he chuckled as he got up from his seat, leaving the room to go find Sara.

"He's such a jerk." Luke groaned.

"He's charming." I winked sarcastically.

"Seriously?" Luke exclaimed.

"Well, you must admit. He is charming." I giggled.
