Drinks?

Sara's P.O.V
"What are we going to do? How can we bring back the smile?" I said tears collecting in my eyes.

"I don't know... Alex needs to, they need to talk. Really talk. Maybe we should lock them in a room together. Not let them out till they talk things through." Luke said

"Yeah, maybe we can do something for her. Go somewhere." I said taking a chip from the plate of nachoes me and Luke are sharing.

"Where's Cody? He should be here, he always knows what to say." He said

I was hoping to ignore this for a while but when I was in Chicago Cody and I decided to go our separate ways. Guess I better let Luke know.

"Yeah see the thing is Cody and I broke up. It just wasn't going anywhere, not really worth sticking around." I said.

"Oh..." Luke said, a weird smirk came across his face and he was defiantly trying to hide it.

"Yeah it was a mutual decision so no worries anyways. Getting back to the trip should we go somewhere, camping? She likes that, we all always have the time of our lives. You, Rosie, me and someone else. Probably a guy so you don't have to be completely dominated by females." I said laughing.

Luke laughed and didn't respond. He looked like he was concentrating really hard. I wonder why?

Lukes P.O.V
Maybe I can convince her to go for a week. I've waited for this chance forever, and it's finally happening. And the news about Cody. It's like my prayers were answered.

"Yeah I mean we should go for a week. Get her mind totally off it." I said. Please. Please. Please.

"Well I mean I have to work next week. But we could go until I have to work on Monday." Sara replied.

Sara's P.O.V
That's weird. Isn't it? Asking to go for a week?

"Anyways we should go check up on her" I said trying to change the subject.

Don't get me wrong I may or may not have broken up with Cody because I realized my feelings for Luke, but can I go for him? Does he even like me? Would Rosie approve? Of course she would, it's not like she wouldn't. Her and Alex are both my best friends. Luke and me are her best friends.

"Yeah...I like talking with you. It's a lot of fun." He said smiling.

"I do too."

We got up and went to Rosie. When we got there she had fallen asleep. We closed the door carefully and went back downstairs.

"I know you probably won't. But I wanted to know if maybe you wanted to go out for a drink sometimes. If not that's ok I just wanted to hang out. We never really ever had one on one time. I want to get to know you better." He said.

That's so sweet. Maybe he does like me. Well enough to want to be my friend at the very least.

" I'd love to, want to go now? I mean out plans for the evening kinda fell asleep. She could really use the quietness of an empty house if she did wake up." I said knowing she wouldn't wake up until morning.

"Yeah yeah I do." He said smiling as wide as Nunavut.

"Sweet I'll call a cab." I said pulling out my phone.

Is this happening? Should we do this? Is this even remotely fair to Rosie? She just got dumped by her boyfriend and now I'm going out for drinks with her best friend. Well that is it, just drinks. As far as she's concerned.

Rosie's P.O.V
Where are they. I went everywhere through the apartment. They just...POOF. Vanished.

I go to grab my phone. Maybe she'll answer a text.

"Hey, just woke up...must've fallen asleep. Where are you guys? Step out for a minute? I don't need anymore ice cream. Really. I'll be sick if I have more. Text me or call me when you have the chance." I texted.

"Hey sweetie glad to hear you're awake. Luke took me for drinks. Should be home soon. Don't wait up though." She texted back.

Drinks?

Are they?

No.

They would never! Would they? It's not like the attraction isn't there. It was blaintly obvious they both shared a connection. I guess I'm happy for them. But why today. Why on the day of my break up when I need them.

I knew I liked her, but listening to her talk. My heart melts.
