Finally

Chuck's P.O.V

Where has everybody been. Seriously I haven't been told a thing since the party. Fuck it. I thought I was finally getting in good with them. I thought I was finally making friends. Guess not.

"Hey...HEY CHUCK." I heard a familiar voice yell from behind me. I turn around into the on coming wind, the ends of my scarf flying behind my head.

"Hey...sorry for yelling, I didn't know if you would be able to hear me over this wind." Sara said.

Well look who decided to contact me after so many years.

"What? You're actually talking to me now? I thought you guys decided to just drop off the face of the earth." I said, turning back around and continuing my walk.

"What? Chuck no. There's just been so much drama lately with Rosie and I just I got distracted. Can...can we like talk or something. Like go somewhere, grab a bite to eat?" She said reaching for my left hand.

"Um...I guess." I said, fuck even when I'm pissed I can't bring myself to say no to her.

"Good." She said as I take her hand in mine and we walk hand in hand down the sidewalk to the corner store.

We walk in and grab a bag of chips and two vitamin waters. We pay and head back outside. The wind finally died down and we went to a nearby park to sit on the swings and finally talk.

"So...I'm sorry I've been M.I.A lately. I swear I thought of you the whole time, saying to myself that I was going to call you. If I just picked up the phone and called you, I know you would've understood anyways." Sara explained.

"I would've. I don't blame you for anything. Just what is going on. I want to see you and you're never around." I asked.

"Rosie and me had a fight, about.. I don't know if you know but her and Calum are a thing now and I just felt like she totally abandoned Luke. My ex I mean she stole him from me then just tossed him aside like he was a piece of bone from a chicken. And I didn't think that was fair to me or him and so we fought. We fought for days, well really just ignored each other. But anyways, Calum and Luke ended up fighting about the same thing only that Calum stole Rosie from him." She said her voice trying to stay strong and not break.

"I get it, I do. I understand why you wouldn't of had time to call me. I just, I want to make you feel better." I said ripping openthe bag of chips and taking a hand full before handing the bag over to Sara for her to do the same. She does.

"Anyways, now I guess you could say me and Rosie are good. The hurt is always going to be there for sure but I need her in my life. She's not only my room mate but my best girl friend you know. And anyways while we were fighting me and Luke started hanging out again and resolved any feelings we had for each other. Or what I had for him, pretty sure his feelings were extinguished a long time before we even broke up." She continued.

"Yeah, that's what I wanted to ask you. Well kind of, I wanted to know if you want to maybe go on a date with me. I just think we would work well together." I said quickly.

Her eyes shot up to stare at mine and any crying or tears that were forcing their way through backed away and allowed for a little bit of what seemed to be happiness to peak through in their place.

"Chuck..." She whispered lowering her eyes to focus on the ground below her.

"I knew that was a mistake, I shouldn't have asked you're so busy already what makes me think you'll have time for a fucker like me anyways." I said throwing the remaining chips in m hands to a group of seagulls.

"No no it isn't that. I just, I didn't think you would ever ask." She said smiling, leaning into me.

I get up from my swing and walk in front of hers. We lean into each other and kiss. The best kiss I have ever had.
