Rosie's P.O.V

I don't know if I can ever get used to this. Two of my best friends, being in love, getting together? No, I can't accept it. I mean, don't get me wrong, I want Sara to be happy but not with my best friend. What if he breaks her heart like Alex did mine, or she breaks his? I don't want to chose sides, I want them both to be in my life as friends! I'm so confused.

"Oh Luke you are so funny!" I heard distant voices approaching my room. I got out of my bed slowly and tiptoed towards my door. Ever so silently, I turned the door handle and gently opened the door and peaked through to see Sara stumbling on the furniture while leaning on Luke. She obviously had one too many drinks.

"There there..." Luke chuckled as he supported Sara and held her hand simultaneously, guiding her to the comfort of the soft couch.

"Rosie?" Luke's eyes lit up as he glanced over towards me peeking through the crack of my door. "Your awake!"

Sara was too drunk to even realize what was going on so instead of reacting to what happened, she simply fell back on the couch and continued hysterically laughing.

"Why is she laughing?" I asked and forced a fake smile on my face.

"She drunk one too many cocktails." Luke sighed as he looked back to find Sara singing one of her favorite tunes.

"Cody! This goes to you!" she exclaimed loudly "I wish that I could wake up with amnesia-" she sang. "I wish-" she continued and constantly hiccuped whilst singing.

"She's a right mess." I giggled as I looked at my drunk best friend.

"So, how are you feeling?" Luke smiled and I know what smile that was. That was the I did something and I'm guilty and I want to get away with it smile.

"I'm fine. So, you've come all this way to your depressed best friend." I sarcastically announced and playfully punched his shoulder.

"But, you haven't told me any of your news. Is there something I should know?" I asked, hinting that I knew something was up.

"Well." he stuttered and looked back again at drunk Sara.

"I kissed Sara." he whispered silently.

"What?" I spat.

"Well, see, for so many years that she's been your friend, I've always sort of had a crush on her and well tonight, she drank and I did and we had chemistry so we kissed but, after that kissed, I think we both realized that we just aren't meant to be-" he explained guiltily.

"Luke. I won't judge you. If you have feelings for Sara just tell me." I said with a fake smile on my face.

"Well. To be honest with you. I don't know. Like, we have that chemistry but I don't know, I'm confused and so is she." he mumbled.

I nodded understandingly and I know I'll sound absolutely horrible but I wish it won't work between them because I don't want to chose sides if something happens between them. I want to keep both of them in my life and I don't want to sacrifice one of them. They've both been there through my ups and downs, and Luke, I've known him for 15 years and I can't risk 15 years of friendship just because of Sara's and Luke's hormonal urges.

*Sara's P.O.V*

I wake up to a strong headache and my eyes feel as heavy as ever. I struggled to open them in the first place. The bright light from the window pierced my hazel eyes. My blonde hair shines as the sun's rays reflects on it but my face, my face says otherwise.

My mascara and eyeliner from last night is smudged all over my face and my red lipstick that I put on before going to the bar has rubbed off onto the cushion on the couch, on which I apparently fell asleep on. I mean, Luke tucked Rosie in but apparently he did not have the decency to carry me bridal style to the comfort of my own bed and just left me lie on the couch. Way to ruin the romantic fantasies.

I grabbed my phone that was lying on the table to unlock the screen and read that the time was 2pm in the afternoon and Luke and Rosie ... still fast asleep.

I shot up from the couch and marched towards Rosie's room and stormed in without notice.

"GET UP!" I shouted.

"What do you want?" she spat furiously.

Rosie does not like being awoken under any circumstance.

"Come on Rosie! Get your lazy ass out of bed! We have a long day ahead of us!" I sang happily.

What the heck? Why am I still so happy? Is the alcohol still in my blood stream? Oh well, moving on!

"Luke! GET UP!" I yelled and I could hear my voice echo in the whole apartment. Dogs from next door flats started barking and I couldn't care less.

It was a new day!
