Part 16. Remember

Luke's P.O.V

Rosie is still asleep and her machine keeps beeping which is a good sign as that indicates that her heart is definitely still beating.

"Excuse me." the door opened to reveal a tall figure in a white lab coat.

"I am Rosie's doctor." the tall figure revealed himself.

"Oh." I replied and got up from my seat which was next to Rosie.

"Well, everything seems to be going smoothly. We just need to wait for her to wake up for further examinations." the doctor announced proudly as he flickered his pen and scribbled on his clipboard.

I nodded and when the doctor finished writing his notes he left the room and closed the door behind him.

"Everything is going to be just fine." I forced a smile and sat back in my seat next to Rosie.

I reached out to Rosie's hands once again and held them tightly.

"Guess who I just saw!" the door opened wide and Sara stormed in with a huge smile on her face.

"Alex?" I asked.

"How did you know?" she asked with a puzzled facial expression.

"Well, I actually spoke to him before." I replied furiously.

"Oh. What did he say to you?" Sara asked quietly.

"He wanted to see Rosie." I frowned.

"And what did you say?" she insisted.

"I said no!" I snapped.

Sara shrugged her shoulders in confusion and I was starting to get angry.

"Why are you confused?" I exclaimed.

"Why did you say no to him?" Sara asked timidly.

"For the obvious reasons! He cheated, broke her heart and he even slapped her! Its his fault that we are even in the situation!" I continued.

Sara sighed and I could tell that she was in denial.

"What the actual hell is your problem?" I spat.

"I spoke to him too and well, everything isn't as it seems Luke." Sara whispered.

"Oh really? Well explain to me why he broke up with her and cheated on her and please don't tell me you forgot how he fucking laid a hand on her!" I roared.
