Calum's P.O.V
I can't believe this, I can't believe it! They said it was over between them, they said, ROSIE SAID she was about me now. I can't believe I was so stupid. It's not like they didn't make it obvious, you could always see the love they had for each other whenever they saw each other or even hen someone would mention the other's name. I feel so stupid, betrayed! This isn't my fault, Rosie's cheating on me with my best friend, why should I feel bad when this isn't my fault what so ever. Honestly I can't believe this.
"Wow I guess I was wrong to think that when you said it was over it was actually over. Silly me right?" I said letting out a subtle hint at humor. I wish I could just get mad at her, blow my top at her but I can't. I love her too much for that.
"Calum, I-" Rosie started before I cut her off.
She doesn't even realize. She doesn't know that inside my pocket right now is a little box with a necklace inside it. Gold around the edges with 2 diamonds in the center, one representing her, one me. This necklace was suppose to signify the connection we have together bound together with love as pure as gold. I look at my girlfriend (???), my ex-girlfriend (???) whatever she is to see her face full of sorrow. She still looks so cute even with that face. No, Calum stay strong, fight through the pain, let her know, let them know you're tried of being pushed around.
"Look, you two have been obviously feeling this way for a while, but honestly you should've just said that I should just stay out of it. You let me believe for so long that it was me you wanted, that what we had was real. Even though every time you two were together, or someone mentioned the other it was obviously that you two were in love with each other." I said.
Rosie and Luke look at each other while I'm saying this, staring into each other eyes with a look of guilt. hey probably feel more guilty about getting caught rather than ruining my relationship with someone I loved so deeply.
"It honestly would've been so much easier to just have told me so I could move on in peace rather than...catch you two in the act." I finish taking a deep breathe while realizing that what I said was the truth. I can't believe they would do this. What do we live a soap opera? Because honestly at this time it sure feels like it is.
"Oh come on man you know it isn't like that at all." I hear Luke saying.
"Yeah right, you guys are so in love you're blind! Blinded by you're love, let me leave so you two can finally just get together like the universe wanted and let me live in peace would you?!?" I said whipping my body around heading towards the exit.
"Calum, before you go we need to talk in private." Rosie says grabbing my arm.
"AHA ARE YOU SERIOUS? NOW YOU WANT TO DO THE PROPER BREAK UP HUH? WELL GUESS WHAT BITCH YOU DON'T GET TO. I'VE BEEN PUTTING UP WITH THIS SHIT FOR TOO LONG, MAKING SURE YOU'RE OKAY FOR WHATEVER THE HELL YOU GET YOURSELF INTO AND SERIOUSLY I'M TIRED, I'M BORED, I WANT OUT!" I screamed, sad I said what I said but relieved I got it out finally. All the frustration and confusion exiting my body as I scream out.
"Oh come ON CALUM THAT IS SO NOT FAIR AND YOU KNOW IT." I see Rosie shout as her face is turning a deep red with fury.
I turn back around and wiggle my way out of her grasp exiting the hell hole that was that.
"Do you think he'll be back?" I heard Luke ask Rosie.
"I AS SURE AS HELL HOPE NOT!" I screamed back, getting into my car and driving away, far away.
Luke's P.O.V
I turn to Rosie feeling the hot stain of tears on my cheeks. I can't believe that just happened. And he can't be serious can he? I mean we're in a bloody band together he has to come back. Does he?
"Luke I-I never expected him to..." Rosie started turning to face me with her face draining in colour.
"Rosie, should we be doing this? I mean, I want to-I really want to, but if it's going to get in the way of the band...I don't-"
"Don't talk like that of course it is. Calum and I were never really working anyways, he has to come back you guys have contracts he has to be in the band. He'll get over it trust me." She said grabbing my hand and standing on her toes pursing her lips for a kiss.
"Rosie, I get that but what about when the contracts end? What then, is her going to pull a Zayn? I don't know if the fam can handle that. Losing someone that means so much to them, I don't know if I can handle that. He's one of my best friends." I say shaking, releasing her hand from him and stepping away from her sitting on a near by chair.
Rosie walks over to me concern on her face and sits down next to me. I take my hand and caress it through my bangs trying to make sense of this whole situation.
"Do you really think that would happen? I mean even if it did would it matter? One Direction are doing just fine without Zayn why wouldn't you guys?" She said a smile forming on her mouth.
"You don't get it do you? One Direction is a boy band, they sing it's easy to replace a singer, but a bassist. You can't, it's hard Rosie, why can't you understand that?" I say getting frustrated with her not understanding something so simple.
Her face drains of any remaining colour and the smile on her face disappears into a look of severe concern. She grabs my hand in hers and rubs her thumb back and fourth.
"I get it, I was just trying to make you feel better. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that was, never mind. I just-he'll be back you guys were friends before you and me ever started having feelings for one another. Just believe me okay? Give it some time." She reassured me.
It makes sense, he wouldn't just quit something he loves just because we had a fight over some girl. But then again, it isn't just some girl, it's Rosie. A girl we both have separate deep connections with.
"I hope you're right because if you aren't I don't know what we'll do." I said leaning back into the chair grabbing Rosie so she sits on my lap. She puts the top of her head in the crack of my neck and I lean my head on hers. Wrapping my left arm around her I rub her back slowly, the same way her thumb was rubbing my hand. We drifted off to sleep in the chair.
