28. Let's talk

Calum's P.O.V

"Dude what the hell! I thought, what happened between us! WHAT MADE YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND!" Luke yelled at Rosie.

Fucking savage. What is going on with him, why isn't he happy for us. We never kept this a secret, he's always been so supportive of any girl I dated even ones he hated. Like literally could not stand at all! And this is his best friend. I'm his best friend. Why can't he see what I have with Rosie is real. I care for her, more than any other girl ever.

"Dude chill out. Can we please talk in private." I said getting up and walking towards him. I go to grab his wrist but he yanks it away from me, I look him in the eyes to see two blue orbs of hatred staring back at me. I swear after a second they turned red with fire. Oh shit.

"No Calum we have nothing to discuss why can't you just leave this alone." He said, clearly wanting me to leave. But I'm not going away without a fight.

"Look dude, we have to work this out sooner or later. We're in a bloody band together. Come on we've been through way too much to just quit our friendship. Just talk with me, even if it's only 5 minutes. Please man." I said desperately trying to convince him to reconsider his attitude.

His hand falls gently to his sides, the fists he made a few minutes earlier releasing to show his palms. He took a deep breath in while closing his eyes. He slowly opens them back up, calm swept over him.

"Fine Calum, you get 5 minutes. After that I want you to go." He said, stepping towards the back door opening it to reveal Sara and Rosie's backyard full of plants, a small vegetable garden and three flower beds the long of the fence.

I step outside behind Luke and close the door leaving us in privacy. I look through the window into their living room and see Sara reaching for the cord pulling the curtains shut.

"Honestly Calum I don't understand, just last week you said you totally shipped me and Rosie. And now the next thing I know you stole her for yourself. Was this the plan the whole time. Is that why you brought her that dress for her when she was released from the hospital. How long have you had this little plan of yours. Just answer that." He said staring into the depts. of my soul.

"Look I never planned for any of this. And no for your information Sara was the one who chose that out okay. She wanted Rosie to not only look good for you but to feel better. She said she's only ever had happy memories in that dress and she wanted to keep creating more of those. She hoped that if you saw her in it Rosie would have a fun, happy memory that involved you. She thought it would spark your guys' relationship. It's just, later that night she tried to find you when she got drunk but when I went with her to get you we couldn't find you and I don't know one thing led to another and we ended up having sex. I guess, I mean it's defiantly no excuse for sure but she was my first man. And the next day when I saw her in bed with me, it was maybe 3 or 4 in the morning and she was sleeping so peacefully and I just I fell man. I fell for her hard. I never ever thought this would ever happen, but it did. And besides I really did ship you guys but I always assumed you would end up with Sara. You guys were made for each other. Things just don't work out the way we think they will. I'm sorry." I said finishing with a deep breathe in catching my breath.

Luke's eyes went from fire to something almost like sympathy. He took a small step back his face filled with thinking. His eyes darting back and fourth, taking in all I said. He was shocked. He must've really convinced himself that I deliberately went and stole her. Like I had some 6 month plan to woe her like on that show, what was it, Suite Life on Deck.

"I'm sorry, I guess I really did over exaggerate. It's just you and her are both my best friends. It's intimidating to have two of them date. What if you guys break up and it ends in a big fight. Would I have to see you both separate for holidays. This is all so scary Calum. But the thing that hurt the most is that you both are my best friends and knew my feelings for Rosie, yet you both just didn't even take that into considering when you starting dating. I just I feel so left out. I feel betrayed two of the three people that mean the most to me. Can you just promise me one thing." He said.

"Yeah anything." I replied

"Don't hurt her"

"I could never." I replied honestly pouring out of those three words.

We sit in silence for a few seconds. Staring at the sky, I never noticed how pretty it really is.

"Are we, are we cool?" I asked after a few minutes.

"Yeah." Luke replied, turning around grabbing the door handle opening the door and walking inside. Leaving me in my own privacy, just as I heard a loud bang from inside the house.

Sara's P.O.V

"Rosie can we talk too?" I asked while closing the curtain's to the windows .

"Oh so you're actually going to talk to me are you." Rosie sassed. Her face mad.

"Look you don't have to be such a fucking bitch. You did steal my boyfriend and then just leave him in a ditch for Calum, someone you had a fucking on night stand with." I roared.

"I'M THE FUCKING BITCH DO YOU EVEN HEAR YOURSELF RIGHT NOW. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. AN FOR YOUR INFORMATION IT WASN'T A ONE NIGHT STAND BECAUSE UM IF YOU WOULD CARE TO NOTICE WE'RE ACTUALLY DATING NOW YOU PIECE OF SHIT." She yelled back.

"Wow chill out you dick and um yeah I know but it was because of a one night stand that you're dating. AND WHO THE FUCK JUST CHEATS ON THEIR BOYFRIEND WHO ACTUALLY IS THEIR BEST FRIEND AND THEN JUST LEAVES THEM." I yelled back.

"WELL MAYBE I WOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT IF YOU ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION TO LUKE. I KNOW YOU NEVER REALLY GAVE A SHIT ABOUT HIM. ALL YOU WANTED WAS TO MAKE CHUCK SEE THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY GET A GUY. AND SPEAKING OF CHUCK WASN'T HE YOUR ONE NIGHT STAND!"

"Wow, look Rosie. I wanted to talk, not have a bitching war. Call me when you stop being such a little prick." I said grabbing my purse from the stool at our island in the kitchen next to the living room and running out the door. Tears running down my face.

"IF ANYONE ASKS I'M OUT." I yelled back before slamming the door shut behind me.
