8. S & L?

Rosie's P.O.V

"Why the hell did you wake me up so early?" I groaned.

"Because we are not going to waste all day in this stupid apartment!" Sara sang happily. She was too happy and people who are too happy annoy me.

"Ugh." I moaned.

"Don't be such a grump!" Sara spat.

"Why are we awake so early?" Luke asked with his deep, manly, morning voice as he entered the living room shirtless, showing off his six pack.

The sun rays from the window perfectly emphasized his bright blue eyes and blonde messy hair.

"Sara wants us to spend the day in the sunshine and perhaps, we might even fly over the rainbow!" I imitated Sara's high-pitched happy voice.

"Oh shut up." the Sara I used to know exclaimed furiously as I was making fun of her.

"Settle down girls." Luke winked and I looked over to see Sara drooling like a Labrador over Luke's stupid wink.

"Sara, chill." I spat.

"Why are you so moody?" Sara asked softly.

"Because, I've been through a fucking break up and all you care about is yourself. You came home last night with my best friend drunk and now you ask me to have a nice day with you, forgetting all about my break up with my first, true love!" I blurted.

Oh no.

I instantly regretted what I had just said but it was too late to take it back because I saw Sara turn bright red and her eyes began to water. Luke stared at me with his piercing blue eyes for a few seconds in awe of what had just come out of my mouth and then looked at Sara who stormed out of the apartment furiously.

"What did you just do?" Luke sighed and I could tell he was angry.

"I-I-" I stuttered. I was out of words and I didn't know what to say or how to act.

"Stay here." he said softly and I could feel his disappointment.

Sara's P.O.V

Rosie is right. Rosie is 100% right. I should have been there for her rather than get drunk and make out with her best friend who came to just make her feel better! But on the other hand, just because Alex is a stupid bastard who broke Rosie's heart does not mean that I should stop living my life. My life does not revolve around her or Alex and I'm sick and tired of listening to her and as soon as I move on from Cody to Luke, she starts acting psycho. I mean, why does she care. It's not like they're together or even in love with each other ...

"Are you okay?" a familiar voice asked as I could hear a door shut.

I turned my sad face around and I saw Luke standing there and I could tell by his facial expression that he was worried.

"I'm fine." I lied as I could feel tears forming and burning my eyes.

"I don't believe you." he sighed and sat next to me outside our apartment door.

"I'm serious." I whispered, trying to hide the fact that I was ready to burst out in tears.

Instead, Luke stroked my cheek and turned my face so that he could look me in the eye's to say "But you're not."

"I'm not." I confessed and lowered my head in shame.

"Rosie didn't mean what she said." Luke tried to explain and back up his best friend.

"But she did mean it! I know that and so do you." I replied softly.

"No, she did not. You have been there for her ever since you met her and have not left or back stabbed her once. I mean, you even took her side rather than Alex's!" he pointed out confidently.

"Well of course I would take her side but that doesn't mean that she's wrong about everything else..." I whispered.

"You took her side instead of siding with Alex who was your best friend! You knew Alex way more than Rosie and still, you sided with her rather than with your best friend!" Luke further explained.

"Luke. I-I- I love you." I blurted and I noticed Luke's gorgeous blue eyes light up but was that light out of happiness or fear?

"I don't know what to say." Luke sighed and that sigh scared me.

Had I just embarrassed myself? Did I just confess my love for someone who may have regretted kissing me in the first place?

Have I ruined both my friendship with Rosie and Luke? What have I done.
