Chapter 8

I finally get out of school and I see Billy already waiting at his Camaro. I walk up to him and smile. "Where's Max?" I ask not seeing her anywhere. "Late again." Billy says as he crosses his arms over his chest.

"Hey do you think you could drop me off at a friends house?" I ask making sure not to say it was a guy. "Sure." He says and I see Max coming in our direction.

"You're late again." Billy says to Max. "Yeah, I had to get catch up homework." Max says as she goes to open the passenger side door. "Jesus I don't care. Your late again and you're skating home. Do you hear me?" Billy says as Max opens the door and Billy goes to the drivers side. I put my seat up and get in the passenger side.

Billy drops me off at one of Eddie's band members house and speeds off. I sigh and walk up to the garage. "Glad you could join us Hargrove." Eddie says as he approaches me. "Let's see how good you are Munson." I say with a smirk.

I smile as they start to play 'The Four Horsemen.' I tap my finger to the beat as Eddie plays the guitar solo. I smirk as he slows down from the normal tempo. Once they finish I clap and walk up to Eddie. "That was really good but you were a little slow on the guitar solo." I say and the others laugh. "And you could do better?" Eddie asks annoyed. "May I?" I ask as I gesture to his guitar. "Please." He says sarcastically.

I put the strap over my shoulder and hold out my hand for Eddie's guitar pick. He hands it to me and I play the guitar solo in time. Once I finish and look up all of them are staring at me in shock. I take off Eddie's guitar and pat his shoulder. "Better luck next time Munson." I say as I walk out of the garage as I see Billy's Camaro pull up.

"So are you in?" Gareth asks still in shock. "Sure. Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday right?" I ask and they all nod. "Good. See you boys later." I say with a wave. I walk up to Billy's car and get in and Billy speeds off towards our house.
