I rush outside to see Steve sitting on the hood of his car with tears streaming down his face. I sigh and walk up to him. "Hey, you okay?" I ask him quietly. He quickly looks up and wipes away his tears. "Yeah, yeah just needed some fresh air." He says quickly as he looks away from me.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I ask not wanting to pressure him. "Actually yeah I think that would be nice because if I don't tell someone it's just gonna eat me up inside. Um, apparently my relationship with Nancy is bullshit, I'm bullshit, and pretty much everything is bullshit. Oh, and Nancy doesn't love me anymore." He rambles as I listen quietly.
"I'm sorry." Steve says quickly. "Hey, don't apologize. If you want my opinion it sounds like she's bullshit. If what I've heard about your relationship with Nancy is true then you care abut her. If she can't see that then she's stupid." I say as I sit beside him.
He looks over at me and smiles. "You know I thought you would be like your brother but you're actually pretty cool." Steve says and I look down and smile. "Don't judge a book by its cover." I say with a shrug.
"Thank you." Steve says and I give him a confused look. "For listening to my ranting." He says to clarify. "Of course. I would want someone to be there for me if something like this happened." I say with a warm smile.
"I should get going. See you later Bella." Steve says with a smile as he gets up. "Bye Steve." I say with a smile and a small wave. Steve cranks up his car and I turn around and walk back into the house.
