"Hello? Who's there? Who's there?" We hear someone ask from ahead of use. We break through the tree line to see Nancy and one of my classmates I know is named Jonathan.
"Steve?" Nancy and Jonathan ask in unison. "Nancy?" Steve asks as he walks towards her. "Jonathan?" Dustin asks as he walks forward with Steve. "What are you doing here?" Nancy asks in shock. "What are you doing here?" Steve asks the same question back to her.
"We're looking for Mike and Will." Nancy says as she finally reaches Steve. "They're not in there are they?" Dustin asks concerned. "We're not sure." Nancy says as she looks at Jonathan. "Why?" Jonathan asks and we all turn as we hear more roaring coming from the lab.
Everyone starts to argue and tell each other about what has happened the past day or so. I look over at the lab as I hear a noise. "The powers back." Is say as I walk away from the group.
We all quickly run to the gate and Jonathan goes into the booth to open the gate. He presses the button but nothing happens. "Let me try." Dustin says as he goes into the booth. "No." Jonathan says as he continues to push the button. "LET ME TRY JONATHAN!" Dustin yells as he pushes Jonathan aside.
"Son of a bitch." Dustin say in frustration as he repeatedly presses the button. We all look up as the gate opens. "Hey, I got it!" Dustin says excitedly.
Jonathan and Nancy decide to go and see if anyone is at the lab while Lucas, Dustin, Max, Steve, and I wait at the gate. I hiss in pain and look down at my arm to see it bleeding. "Woah, you okay?" Steve asks as he comes up to me. "Yeah." I say with a tight lipped smile. "Bella let me see." Steve says and I sigh and show him my arm. "Shit what happened?" Steve asks as he looks at my wound. "At the bus one of those things slashed through the wall and slashed through me too." I say and hiss in pain as he touches my arm. "Sorry." He mumbles and I just shake my head signifying that it was ok.
"Let me." Steve says as he rips the sleeve off his jacket. "Steve I'm fine." I say through gritted teeth. "Bell stop lying to me." Steve says as he gets ready to wrap my wound. "On the count of three." He says and I sigh. "One, two, three." He says and wraps the makeshift bandage around my arm. I bite my lip so I don't scream in pain. "Is that too tight?" He asks and I shake my head. "Thank you." I say as the pain slowly dies down. "No problem." He says with a smile. We stare into one another's eyes for a while until I look away when I hear something in the distance.
"Guys." We hear Max say and we look up. We see Jonathan's car and a police van come driving down the road towards us. Jonathan honks and we quickly move out of the way.
"Let's go." Police chief Hopper says as he stops in front of us. Steve opens the door and the kids quickly get in followed by me and then Steve. "Okay, let's go." Steve says as he closes the passenger side door and Hopper speeds off following Jonathan.
