Billy's pov
I go to my dresser and light a cigarette as 'The Four Horsemen' plays on my radio. I spray some hairspray in my hair and put on some colone and then check myself out. I wink at myself and look up at my door through my mirror as I hear a nock.
"Billy?" Susan calls out my name. "Yeah I'm a little bit busy in here Susan." I say trying to ignore her. "Open the door. Right. Now." I hear Neil say and I sigh. I put out my cigarette and go to open the door.
"What's wrong?" I ask getting annoyed. "Why don't you tell us?" Neil snaps at me. "Because I don't know." I say with my anger clearly showing. "We can't find Maxine or Isabella." Susan says worriedly. "And Max's window's open and there's no trace of Bella." Neil adds.
"Where are they?" Neil asks after I don't reply. "I don't know." I say as I start to worry about Bella. "You don't know?" Neil asks getting angrier by the second. "Look I'm sure Max just, I don't know, went to the arcade or something. And Bella probably went out with her friends. Im sure they're fine." I say trying to think of where they could be.
"You were supposed to watch Max and keep an eye on Bella." Neil says. "I know dad I was. It's just you guys were three hours late and, well, I have a date. " I say pulling on a leather jacket. "I'm sorry okay." I say as I fix my hair.
"So that's why you've been staring at yourself in the mirror like some faggot instad of watching your sisters?" Neil asks "I have been looking after Max all week dad and Bella is seventeen. Okay? They wants to run off then that's their problem, alright. Max is thirteen years old, she shouldn't need a full time babysitter and Bella is almost an adult." I say angrily. "And Max is not my sister!" I yell at him as I turn off my music.
Neil pins me against my bookcase and glares at me. "What did we talk about?" Neil asks me treatingly. After a few seconds of not answering he back hands me across the face. "What. Did. We. Talk about?" He asks again. "Respect and responsibility." I say trying to sound confident. "That is right." Neil replies. "Now apologize to Susan." He says never breaking eye contact with me. I stare at him for a few seconds before replying "I'm sorry, Susan." She looks down and shakes her head. "It's okay Neil, really." Susan tries to reason with him. "No its not okay. Nothing about his behavior is okay." Neil says in a strict tone. "But he's gonna make up for it." He say as he finally lets me go.
"He's gonna call whatever whore he's seeing tonight and cancel their date. And then he's going to go find his sisters. Like the good, kind, respecting brother that he is." Neil says turning back around to make eye contact with me again. "Isn't that right Billy?" He asks in a harsh tone. "ISN'T THAT RIGHT?" Neil yells at me. "Yes sir." I say quietly. "I'm sorry I couldn't hear you." Neil says with a sigh as he gets closer to my face. "Yes. Sir." I say louder than before. "Find Max and Bella." He says as he finally turns around and exits my room. I slam a picture frame to the floor and start to cry.
