Steve flicks his lighter while Dustin paces back and forth. "So you really fought one of these things before?" Max asks Steve from beside me. Steve looks at Max and then to me and nods.
"And you're like totally a hundred percent sure it wasn't a bear?" Max asks still not convinced about the idea of monsters and neither am I. "Shit don't be an idiot. It wasn't a bear. Why are you even here if you don't believe us? Just go home." Dustin snaps and we all give him surprised looks.
"Yeesh, someone's cranky. Past your bed time?" Max asks as she climbs up the later to the roof of the bus where Lucas is. "Man that is not the way to get a girl." Steve says to Dustin. "I don't want her." Dustin snaps as he goes and sits at the back of the bus.
"Is he always like that?" I ask as I get up to sit beside Steve. "No, he's usually the opposite. He's just jealous." Steve says as he looks at me. "Jealous of Max and Lucas?" I ask. "Yep." Steve says with a nod.
"Well why don't you give him advice. I'm sure you have plenty of it." I say with a smile as I lightly hit his arm. He laughs and let's out a small sigh. "You know I was actually hoping to get some advice from you." He says and I give him a questioning look.
"There's this girl I really like but I don't know if she feels the same about me. She's really cool, she listens, she's a badass. She's pretty much everything I want in a girl." Steve says with a smile and I look down in dissapointment. "She sounds amazing." I say with a small fake smile. "She is." Steve says as he looks at me.
"My advice is tell her how you feel. I mean who would turn down Steve 'The Hair' Harrington?" I say and we both laugh. Steve opens his mouth to say something but before he can we hear a roar outside.
