~Gajeel POV~

I didn't want to be my father, so I manned up, pulled my head out of my butt, and I'm going to make her happy.

~Levy POV~

He's not only dressed in the same outfit from the other night, but he's also holding roses. My hands cover my face. I can't help but the tears just come.

He leaves for two days without saying anything then comes back with roses. What the hell has gotten into him?

"Gajeel," I make out.

He hands me the roses, "I'm not any good with words so bear with me." He takes a step closer to me, "I felt bad because I blamed myself for you getting hurt. I had to run." He leans down to my level and breathes out "I'm sorry."

His lips catch hold of mine, they're not rough but soft and compassionate. I can feel the sorrow coming through and soon my face is even more wet than what it was to begin with. I pull away. He wipes away the tears that are stubbornly betraying him.

"You can't hide what was already there," I say.

"Gi-hi"he chuckles before hiccuping.

I giggle, his laugh is the weirdest one I've ever heard, but I love it. It makes him who he is.

"What do you have planned?" I ask him.

"What makes you think I have something planned?" he gives me a questioning look.

"No guy just randomly shows up at a girls house, dressed up with a half dozen roses without having something planned."

"Why don't you get some decent clothes on and I'll take you to meet someone."

"Why? These aren't good enough?"

"Not for where we're going. Why don't you put on that polka dot dress from the other night?"

I blush, "No way. I don't even know where it's at right now. I have another dress that might be suitable."

"Well, good. Go get ready to go for a sleepover with me."

I roll my eyes, steal one last kiss, and hop off to finish my shower and find that dress. A strapless orange dress with matching detached sleeves.

~Gajeel POV~

I watched as she skipped to her room, holding the roses I bought her. I hear her move between the bedroom and bathroom not long after, assuming she found what she was looking for. Soon she's done in the bathroom and by the time she slowly comes out to the living room, she's perfect.

An orange dress that reminds me of an orange creamcicle, though it's perfect for her blue hair. It's strapless and shows just enough of her curves that it's not going to go unnoticed. Her sleeves aren't even attached to the dress. How the hell can anyone stand to wear those? She has a matching orange headband in her hair to hold back her bangs like she normally does, but its much more than average tonight. I look down and see that she's wearing white converse.

"How many pairs of converse do you have, Shrimp?" I ask her, still staring at her feet.

"One of almost every color," she replies, showing them off a little more.

I snort. Why do girls need so many shoes? I shake my head as I take her hand and lead her outside.

"Mine or yours?" she asks.

I look at her, confused as to what she means.

"Your crappy truck or my amazing Envy?"

"Envy?"

"My mustang, you idiot. You've haven't gotten a taste of what she's like yet."

"Fine, but you have to let me drive it one of these days."

"My Envy?" she looks shocked. "No one gets to drive her besides me. She's my baby."

Women, I shake my head. Gotta always have things their way. "Lets get going then, Shrimp. We're running late as is."

"Let's get going then," she grabs my hand pulling me towards her car.

We climb in. The car is tight but I love the feel of it. The car roars to life.

I think I've fallen in love.
