It's morning and Ash and Pikachu have just woken up.
"Hey, Pikachu, how would you like to do some training in the morning just before our battle against Diantha starts?" (Ash)
"Pika!"
"Great! Let's go!" (Ash)

"Ash, breakfast's ready!" (Clemont)
*No response*
"I'll go wake him up!" (Serena)
"Ash? It's time to wake up! Huh? Ash? Where did he go?" (Serena)
"Serena! Is Ash up yet?" (Bonnie)
"He's not in his sleeping bag. I think he might have went out to train." (Serena)
"Oh, ok!" (Bonnie)
15 minutes later...
"Hey guys! I'm back!" (Ash)
"Ash! You're here!" (Bonnie)
"Yeah! I was training for the finals today." (Ash)
"I knew you were training! I hope you can beat Diantha!" (Serena)
"I will definitely win this time!" Ash said all pumped up.
"Oh! Ash! You're back! (Clemont)
"Hi, Ash!" (Dawn)
"You should have your breakfast, you need energy for today's match." (Brock)
"Yeah! You'd better win!" (Misty)
"Don't worry, I'm sure I'll win!" (Ash)
Ash ate his breakfast and the gang headed out to where the battle was going to take place. They saw that there was a lot of people waiting for the battle.
"Diantha! I'm ready for our battle!" (Ash)
"Same here, Ash! I know that we'll have a great battle!" (Diantha)
"Ash! You're here! Now the battle can start!" (Prof. Sycamore)
"Professor Sycamore! I'm super pumped up for today's battle! I want to beat Diantha!" Ash exclaimed.
"Then I wish you good luck!" (Prof. Sycamore)
"Thanks!" (Ash)
"Ash and Diantha, are you both ready?" (Prof. Sycamore)
"Yup!" (Ash)
"I'm ready!" (Diantha)
"Then I'll be the referee. You will each get to use 1 pokémon. There will be no substitutions allowed, got it?" (Prof. Sycamore)
"Ok!" (Ash)
"Alright!" (Diantha)
"Then, battle begin!" (Prof. Sycamore)
"Pikachu, I choose you!"
"Gardevoir, come on out!"
"Ok, Pikachu, we never got to finish our battle with Gardevoir last time because Team Rocket just interrupted our battle. But let's win this thing!"
