CHAPTER FOUR

[THIRD PERSON POV]

DEREK and Emily arrived at Holland Rain's office near the edge of the city. When they arrived, they slammed the car doors closed and then entered the building, flashing their badges at the security officers who allowed them access to the elevator.

Emily slowly opened the door, cautiously making sure that there would be no surprised when she saw - or who she assumed to be - Mr. Rain sitting with his back towards them. "Mr. Rain? I'm Agent Emily Prentiss with the FBI, we would like to ask you a few questions regarding a case we are working on."

They got no response and that only increased their concerns, Derek took a step forward, turning around the chair only to be greeted with Holland Rains dead body, a single gun shot wound to the forehead. Execution Style. Emily groaned, dialing Rossi's number to let them know and soon after ending the call, the pair chose to look through his office only to find it being spotless, just like the last crime scenes.

"There is nothing here. Again." Derek said stubbornly, he was annoyed that they were getting no results. Especially after they had just started looking into a new lead. "I'm going to call Garcia again."

He grabbed out his phone, dialing the woman's number as she answered instantly. "Hey, I'm sorry I couldn't lead you too him earlier."

"It's alright, baby girl, I just need you to see what he was investigating for them." Derek informed her, slightly shaking his head at Garcia's words. She always blamed herself for things that were out of her control.

"I am on it, honey." She told them as she started typing everything into her computers. "Okay...so I can't find the reasoning why but he was investigating a stalker. It says here that Victoria Bianchi emailed him regarding the stalker and that she felt like her life was at risk."

"Victoria Bianchi? What have you got on her?" Derek questioned before placing the phone onto speaker so that Emily was able to hear what was being said as well.

Penelope had started muttering things under her breath, showing how much she was concentrating. "Oh my...Oh. You guys have really got to hear this. I'm going to patch through the rest of the team as well." They stayed silent as the rest of the team was patched through and she started speaking. "Okay. So I managed to find something in Victoria's background. Her family had ties to the Italian Mafia."

"Mafia?" JJ's voice could be heard as she practically scoffed.

"Exactly, doll." Penelope nodded her head. "Says here that her father - Dominic Bianchi - was apart of the Mafia but soon left when she was born. Heroic am I right? Anyways...It doesn't say much about their Mafia at all but it does show in her father's records that he made payments of $9,999 towards an unknown contact throughout the years of 1982 and 1985 and then they stopped soon after."

"Wait. Did you just say 1982 and 1985?" Rossi asked, recalling what he had said before. "That's when the killings started and then stopped."

"This is pointing more to it being a hitman. All evidence is pointing to this." JJ commented, running her hand through her blonde hair.

The team remained silent after the announcement as they all knew that she was correct. And soon enough Hotch spoke. "Garcia, I need you to trace back the person being sent the money and as soon as you do, call us. The rest of us will meet back here to deliver the profile."

"You got it, boss."

________

"The Unsub we are looking for is a hitman. He gets paid just under $10,000 not to alert anyone of the crimes he is committing. We are aware that the Unsub is connected to Victoria Bianchi through her family ties to the Italian Mafia. We are currently looking through the bank records to determine who the Unsub is, but we have to be wary." Hotch started the profile.

Reid nodded his head. "This Unsub is most definitely a sociopath. And yet whilst he shares the same qualities as a psychopath we wouldn't class him as one."

"We believe he has family. A wife or children that could have possibly prevented him from fulfilling his hitman roles." Derek commented, looking at every officer in the room. "We are looking through all men in the surrounding area who are married, divorced or have children. We ask you to be careful when approaching the suspect as he is dangerous. Do not approach him without backup."

One of the officers raised his hand. "How do we approach him then?"

"With caution. Every step you take must be within reason and everything that you do must require back up." Emily answered for them. "This hitman has required training since a young age and is now returning back to finish off more jobs for an unknown the reason."

"The Unsub is a white male, approximately between the age of forty to fifty and is either married or divorced with children." Derek announced.

"That'll be all for now, we need to get back to work."

As soon as Hotch finished speaking, Penelope Garcia rushed out of her cave with a frantic expression on her face. "I found a suspect." She placed her laptop down onto the table, putting it in front of them all so that they could all see. "I went back to what you were saying about the children and the possibility of him having some. So then, I went back to the years that he stopped killing and checked for any women that had given birth during the time. And I think I found him."

"Who is it, Garcia?" JJ asked, leaning closer forward.

She took in a deep breath. "Don't worry, I'm getting to that part." She clicked onto a few keyboards and the image of a middle aged man showed up on screen, along with a woman around the same age beside him. "This is Arlo Hale, married in 1993 to Summer Hale - or originally Bianchi."

"Bianchi? As in Victoria Bianchi?" Derek questioned.

"Exactly." Penelope nodded. "Summer was related to Victoria. But then she married Arlo Hale, there is nothing about his background at all. She then gave birth to a daughter in 1981, Sybil Hale. Then in 1985, she gave birth to another daughter, Soren Hale."

"Do you have a last known address for them?" Rossi then inquired, feeling pleased they had found a solid suspect.

"I do. Sending it to your phones now, but you need to know something else."
