The bell rang. It was finally lunch time.

Tighnari felt his belly rumbling. He knew he was hungry after all those classes he had. After all, his big exams were starting soon, and college was getting more stressful every day.

He got up from his seat, packed his back, and planned on eating in the cafeteria, where he mostly spent his lunches. He thankfully got to the cafeteria early and managed to get himself a table. He took out his lunch box and started to eat his lunch. He was eating berries that he had  pickedon the weekend, when he was on patrol with Collei.

As he was eating, he noticed two people walk towards him. A girl and a guy.
Tighnari noticed that the cafeteria was packed at this point, and the only free seats were at his table. He knew that these people would ask him to sit at his table.

As the two came closer, Tighnari could take a closer look. It then hit him that he recognized the guy. Cyno.

Cyno was in most of Tighnari's classes. He was quite smart and took his studies very seriously. Tighnari never spoke to him. He felt like Cyno was not the same as him, he felt like he was quite the opposite. He didn't feel like making friends with him either. Tighnari felt that Cyno and him wouldn't click, although Cyno did seem to be nice.

However, Tighnari didn't recognize the girl Cyno was walking with. He had never seen her before in any of his classes. The girl had brown hair and bangs, with round glasses. She had green pretty eyes. She was small and quite pretty.

Both of them walked to Tighnari's table.
„ Hey, do you mind if we sit with you? All the other tables seem to be full!", Cyno asked Tighnari.

Tighnari smiled.
„ Yeah sure, go on ahead!", Tighnari replied.

Cyno took a seat next to Tighnari, and the girl sat opposite him. Tighanri took out a book to pretend he wasn't listening to their conversation, although he was interested in what they had to say. He always liked hearing the gossip that other people were talking about.

„ Cyno, we should go on a date some time!", the girl said as she flipped her brown hair. Was this Cyno's girlfriend?

„ Crystal, I told you so many times! I don't like you that way!", Cyno replied.
„ But come on, you do like me! You're just in denial!", the girl said smiling.

Tighnari knew that Cyno was annoyed with this girl. She seemed to be that kind of girl who couldn't accept rejection.

„ Aw Cyno, you're blushing! You do like me!", the girl said smiling.
„ Anyway, let's just eat! I'm hungry!", Cyno growled as he took out a sandwich and started eating.
„ I'm going to the bathroom!", Crystal said, „ See you soon, sweetheart!"

She got up and ran off.

Cyno sighed.
„ I'm so sorry you had to hear all of that!", he said. Tighnari was surprised that Cyno was talking to him.

Tighnari closed his book.
„ Oh don't worry, I wasn't bothered!", he said, as he didn't know what to say in a situation that was already awkward.

„ Crystal and I have been friends since I was seven. I liked her as a kid, and we were in a small relationship. But as I grew up, I didn't like her anymore. She just wants to believe that I still like her. I know I'm hurting her, but I just wished she could finally move on!", Cyno explained.

„ Oh wow! I mean, she will eventually move on. It might take time, but the day will finally come!", Tighnari said. Cyno smiled.

„ Thanks!", he said smiling. Tighnari smiled back and took out his book and continued to read it.

Crystal eventually returned, but Cyno didn't bother talk since he was annoyed with her.

A few hours had passed. It was around 4PM when Tighnari returned to his flat. As he opened the front, he found Collei sitting at the kitchen table drawing a leaf.
