Chapter 42

„ Hey dad, can you help me with some homework?"
„ Go ask your other dad. He is better at math than me!", Cyno laughed to his son.

Many years have passed since Cyno and Tighnari got married.

Cyno was now 37 years old, and Tighnari was 36 years old.

2 years after Tighnari and Cyno got married, they both adopted triplets, so that Collei could have younger siblings.

Now, Collei was 22 years old, and the triplets were 12 years old. Collei no longer lived with Cyno and Tighnari, since she was studying at university, and she was living in a flat with some friends.

Tighnari sat down and helped one of his sons with the homework.
„ You have to divide this number first!", Tighnari explained to his son.
„ Oh! That's where I went wrong!", the son said, „ I was constantly multiplying the number instead!"

„ Aha! Now you've got it!", Tighnari proudly said.
„ Thanks dad!", the son said as he continued with his homework.

Tighnari saw Cyno, sitting on the couch, watching football.

He approached his husband.
„ Hey, sweetheart!", Tighnari said as he kissed his husband's cheek.
„ Hey Nari!", Cyno said.

„ I will get the groceries now! Would you like to come along?", Tighnari asked.
„ I will get them today, since you mostly always do the groceries!", Cyno said, „ And in case the kids need help with math, you'd maybe want to help them out!"
„ Thank you Cyno!", Tighnari said.

Cyno wrote a shopping list and drove off to the supermarket.

As he arrived, he first headed to the fruit and vegetables section.

As he was picking out red peppers, he heard someone say his name.
„ Cyno?", the person gasped.

Cyno looked up and saw a tall man. He was wearing glasses and he had hair on his face. His hair was short.

He looked familiar.
„ Hey, do I know you?", Cyno asked.

„ Well, it's been around 15 years since I last saw you!", the guy laughed,
„ It's me, Al Haitham!"

Cyno's eyes opened widely.
„ Oh...yeah, it's been 15 years!", Cyno awkwardly said.

He didn't know how to react. Things didn't end well between Al Haitham and Cyno.

„ Look Cyno...I was wrong all those years ago!", Al Haitham said, „ I'm sorry. I was some stupid, young adult who was jealous. Ever since I left college, I've realized how stupid I was...thanks to my fiancé, Kaveh! He helped me realize!"

Cyno took a deep breath.

„ Thank you for saying that!", Cyno said, „ I'm happy you realized how wrong you were!"

Al Haitham smiled.
„ Do you think we can get in touch and be friends again?", Al Haitham asked.

Cyno sighed.
„ If I'm honest...I can't be friends with you....because what you did. It damaged me and my husband!", Cyno said, „ But I'm glad you know how wrong you were!"

Cyno quickly left then, since he didn't want to talk to Al Haitham.

He knew that he could never forgive him, because of how Al Haitham used him and betrayed him.

As Cyno returned home, he saw Tighnari playing in the garden with his kids.

He smiled as he headed outside to them.
„ Hey guys! Looks you guys are having fun!", Cyno happily said.
„ Hey Cyno!", Tighnari said smiling, „ I'm gonna cook the lunch now!"

„ We will play in our bedroom!", one of the kids said.
They all ran upstairs.

Cyno and Tighnari headed into the kicthen.
„ You were quick doing the groceries!", Tighnari said.
Usually, Cyno would take quite long getting the groceries.

„ Well probably because I bumped into someone I don't like!", Cyno said.
„ Oh who?", Tighnari wanted to know.

„ Al Haitham!", Cyno said.

Tighnari was shocked.
„ No way!", he gasped, „ Did he say anything to you?"

„ He apologized!", Cyno said, „ He said his fiancé helped him realize his mistakes!"
„ Oh I'm surprised he apologized!", Tighnari said, „ How did you reply to him?"

„ I told him I couldn't ever forgive him because he caused much stress and damage for both of us!", Cyno said.

Tighnari smiled.
„ You did the right thing! I'm proud of you!", Tighnari said as he kissed Cyno.

A few hours had passed. Cyno and Tighnari were watching TV together. The kids were in bed, and it was around 11Pm.

Suddenly, Tighnari and Cyno heard footsteps.

They looked behind and saw their three kids behind them.
„ You kids should be in bed!", Cyno gasped.
„ We can't sleep!", one of the kids complained.
„ Yeah! We tried to fall asleep...but we can't!", a different kid said.

Cyno and Tighnari smiled.
„ Go to your bedrooms. We will be up shortly to read you a bed time story!", Cyno said.

The kids jumped into the air out of happiness as they ran upstairs.
They loved hearing bed time stories.

Cyno and Tighnari walked upstairs.
Their kids were in bed.

„ So, what story would you like to hear?", Cyno asked.
„ Can we hear the story how you two fell in love?", one of the kids asked.

Tighnari laughed.
„ You kids always want to hear that story!", Tighnari giggled.

„ Please dad! Please!", the kids begged.

Tighnari made eye contact with Cyno. They both smiled.

„ Alright!", Cyno said smiling.
The kids happily jumped into the air.

„ Cyno can start telling the story!", Tighnari said.

„ Our story...it started with a fake relationship!", Cyno said.
