It started with a fake relationship [Tighnari x Cyno]

Chapter 2

That whole morning, Tighnari couldn't concentrate.

He now was in a relationship- but with a guy he didn't like and he didn't even like guys to start off with.

Tighnari once liked a girl when he was young, but she moved away years ago and since then, he's missed her. He always believed as a kid that he would marry her.

As he was in class, he felt a note slip next to his hand. He picked it up and read it.

I forgot to ask this earlier, but are you ok with hand holding and hugging? I know you don't want to kiss, I agree with that too.
I just wanted to make sure that I'm respecting your boundaries for our fake
relationship :)

Tighnari felt happy that Cyno was a respectful guy. He wrote back to him.

Yeah! That's good with me!
I hope the plan works and Crystal realizes that she should move on from you :)

Lunch time eventually came. Tighnari had already packed in his laptop and books and was waiting outside the class for Cyno.

Eventually, Cyno arrived.

„ God, isn't class stressful. I'm happy to finally eat something to get that stress off my mind!", Cyno said smiling.
„ I know right! Lunch time is my favorite class of the day!", Tighnari laughed, making Cyno laugh. Cyno had quite a nice laugh. Tighnari liked his laugh.

That's when Cyno stared at Tighnari.
„ So, should we hold hands while walking to the cafeteria? I mean, we are in a "fake relationship"!", he said. Tighnari's cheeks turned red.

„ Right!", Tighnari nervously said as he gave Cyno his hand as he looked away.

Cyno placed his fingers between Tighanri's and squeezed his hand.

Tighnari felt his cheeks turn red as he held hands with him.

„ Stop it Tighnari, you're straight and like girls only!", he thought to himself as he walked with Cyno to the cafeteria.

As both of them arrived at the cafeteria, Crystal had already reserved a table for them. The two boys noticed at her staring at them holding hands.

Maybe she would finally get the message.
„ Hey Tighnari! Hey babe!", she said as she flattered her eyelashes at Cyno.
„ Hey!", they both said as they sat down. They both knew that Crystal didn't catch that they were in a "fake relationship", so Cyno came up with a plan.

„ Would anyone like a soft drink from the vending machine?", Cyno asked.
„ Oh my God! Thanks for asking sweetheart! I would like a sprite!", Crystal said with her cheeks turning red.

„ Ok! And what about you, babe?", he asked to Tighanri.

There was awkward silence. Crystal sat there in shock, as well as Tighnari did since he was not used to being called those kind of names.

„ Oh haha, yeah I would like a Coke Zero please!", Tighnari nervously said.
„ Great, I'll be back with the drinks soon!", Cyno said as he left.

Crystal stared at Tighnari with her eyes widely open.
„ Excuse me?", she gasped. Tighnari could tell that she was pissed off.

„ Huh?", he asked with a confused look on his face, although he knew why she was angry.
„ Are you and Cyno in a relationship? I heard him call you babe!", she growled.

Tighnari knew he had to follow Cyno's plan, so he would have to say "yes" to being in a relationship with him.

„ Yes, he is my boyfriend! Oh my, did he not tell you that?", Tighnari said as he turned red, following the plan.

„ No? He would tell me. He is my best friend. And you aren't even dating, since he likes me. I know he likes me!", Crystal growled.

That moment, Cyno returned with the drinks. He handed everyone the drink they asked for.

„ Crystal, you good? You look a little angry!", Cyno said, hoping his plan was working.
„ Tighnari said that you guys are dating. Is it true?!", she yelled.

Cyno felt happy inside. It was working.

„ Yes! We started dating a week ago! We didn't tell anyone, so you're the first person to know!", Cyno quickly said.

Crystal immediately faked a smile.
„ Good for you! Hope you two have a wonderful, joyful relationship!", she angrily said as she got up, with her sprite that Cyno had bought her, and stormed out of the cafeteria.

Tighnari felt bad.
„ Oh God! I am sorry, I shouldn't have told her that way. I feel like I made things worse!", Tighnari applogzied.

Cyno put his hand on Tighnari's left shoulder.
„ Why are you apologizing? You did great!", he said, with a smile on his face. Tighnari turned red.

„ God, why am I turning red? I'm straight!", Tighnari thought to himself as he looked away from Cyno.
