Chapter 34

Tighnari knew he couldn't live like this.

He ran to the bathroom and opened a drawer. He took out a box of pills and poured them onto his hands.

„ Maybe things will be better for everyone if I'm dead!", Tighnari thought to himself as tears rolled down his cheeks.

He was about to take a handful of pills and swallow them.

Suddenly, he felt someone tackle into him, so that all the pills fell out his his hands.

„ What the heck do you think you're doing?!", a voice yelled.
The voice sounded familiar. It sounded like a girl's voice.

Tighnari looked up and saw a girl wearing a gray hoodie and blue baggy jeans. She had blue hair.

That's when Tighnari realized: It was Candace.

„ Candace? Aren't you...Cyno's ex?!", Tighnari gasped.
„ Yes! But why the heck would you try to kill yourself?!", Candace yelled.

Tighnari sighed.
„ Everyone hates me. People won't stop bullying me. Even my own ex boyfriend hates me for something I didn't even do!", Tighnari cried.

Candace sighed.
„ It's a good thing your front door was open. That's the way I got into your flat! Or else, you would have died!", Candace said.

Tighnari smiled as he wiped his tears away.
„ Thnaks for saving my life!", he said.

„ Well, now that I'm here...I have some things to tell you...they're about the whole cheating thing!", Candace said, „ Would you mind if I drove you to my flat?"

Tighnari nodded his head.

„ Alright...follow me!", Candace said.

Candace and Tighnari got into a small, gray Ford. Candace drove him to her flat, which was a 10 minute drive.

As both of them entered the flat, Tighnari saw a person sitting on the couch.
„ Hey Tighnari!", the person said.

Tighnari freaked out.
It was Lia.

„ Lia-!", Tighnari gasped.
„ I know that it might be strange seeing Lia here!", Candace said, „ But she will help us out. You need to trust her!"

Tighnari took a deep breath and nodded his head.

Candace and Tighnari took a seat next to Lia on the couch.

Candace took a deep breath.
„ Tighnari, you didn't cheat on Cyno!", she said.

Tighnari felt like smiling for the first time in a while.
This was the first but of good news that he had heard in a while.

„ I knew it!", Tighnari happily said.
„ Al Haitham...he gave you a potion the day of Cyno's birthday! And you had no idea what was going on, so Al Haitham kissed you!", Lia explained.

Tighnari was shocked.
„ Why would he do such a thing?", Tighnari gasped.
„ Al Haitham has a group. Lia and I used to be part of the group!", Candace explained, „ He would do everything in his power to break up you and Cyno up!"

Tighnari was shocked.
„ I have so many questions right now!", Tighnari said as his eyes were widely open.

„ Ask them away. The situation is extremely confusing, I will admit!", Lia said.

„ Ok, my first question!", Tighnari said, „ Who was or is a part of that group?"
„ Cyno's step brother Kris, Crystal and Al Haitham are a part of the group for now!", Candace said, „ Lia and I used to be!"
„ Kris?!", Tighnari gasped, „ How would Al Haitham even know him?"
„ I don't know. But the two seem to get on well!", Lia said.

„ Ok, second question!", Tighnari said, „ Why were you two part of that group?"
Candace and Lia took a deep breath.
„ Al Haitham forced me to!", she explained, „ He has forced me to flirt with Cyno. I don't even like him anymore. But he always would force me to do things!"
„ For me, it was because I was jealous. I wanted to date you!", Lia explained, „ But once I saw how happy you were with Cyno, I realized how wrong I was! Therefore, I stopped!"

Tighnari smiled.
„ My last question is...why would Al Haitham want to hurt his own best friend?", Tighnari asked.
„ Al Haitham has never liked Cyno!", Candace explained, „ He has always been jealous of him. He has always pretended to be his best friend, but he hated him because in his eyes, Cyno was the better version of him. I think he's just jealous that he is single too!"

Tighnari was shocked.
„ Is there any way...that Cyno will believe the truth? He won't even listen to me now!", Tighnari said.
„ Well, that's why we brought you here!", Lia said, „ We are going to come up with a plan to make Cyno realize that he's believing the wrong person!"

„ But you can't go to college for a couple of days. This plan will take time for us to work on!", Candace said.
Tighnari smiled.

„ It's a deal!", he said.

Finally, he would get his boyfriend back.
Finally, Cyno would believe him.
