It started with a fake relationship [Tighnari x Cyno]

Chapter 3

The next day, Tighnari arrived at college the normal time. He hadn't heard from Cyno in person or on Instagram, since the time where Crystal stormed out of the cafeteria.

As Tighnari arrived into the classroom for the first lesson, he noticed one of the popular students stare at him. He was confused, and a bit nervous. He was quite introverted, and never liked starting any conversation with anyone, especially the popular students that everyone loved.

Tighnari took a deep breath and looked away, then he walked and took a seat, then took out his laptop and turned it on. Before he knew it, the popular student was standing right in front of him.

Tighnari's eyes opened widely. He gasped as he was not expecting that student to be standing in front of him.

„ Hey!", the student said, „ Could I ask you something?"

Tighnari felt more nervous than before.
„ Hey! Yeah, go...ahead!", he nervously stuttered.

The popular student took a deep breath.

„ Well I heard rumors that you and Cyno are dating...I didn't know if it was a lie or not, so I wanted to ask....is it true?"

Tighnari turned red and felt nervous. Rumors had already started spreading. What if people would be mean?

But Tighnari had to go with the plan, and couldn't deny the relationship.
„ Well yeah...it's a recent thing. Cyno and I...we haven't really told many people!", Tighnari nervously replied. He was scared that the student wouldn't give a friendly response, and maybe say something homophobic.

But he was wrong. A smile appeared on the student's face.

„ That is great! Cyno didn't have a good time when he came out as bisexual last year from some people. I'm happy he's found someone to make him happy!", the student said with a friendly grin on his face.

Tighnari was happy that this student was nice. But however, he felt bad about what he had just heard about Cyno being treated badly when he came out as bisexual. He didnt know that. In fact, he didn't share a lot of classes with Cyno last year, so he didn't really know anything about him.

„ By the way, are you close friends with Cyno?", Tighnari asked the popular student.

„ Yeah! We don't share that many classes this year, but we had many classes last year!", he said, „ The name's Al Haitham by the way!"

Al Haitham was tall, with gray hair and green sparkling eyes, and a muscular body. He seemed to get on well with almost everyone. He was extremely likable in college.

„ By the way, how did you find out about me and Cyno dating...if you don't mind me asking?", Tighnari nervously asked Al Haitham.

„ My cousin Crystal told me! Do you know her?", Al Haitham said.

Tighnari was shocked that they were related.
„ Oh yeah! She is close friends with Cyno!", Tighnari said, not mentioning the fact that she was obsessed with Cyno.

„ Anyway, I talked to Cyno, and he said he would like to eat with me. He said you would be there too!", Al Haitham said. He grinned and then walked off to his seat.

Lunch time came. Yet again, Cyno walked with Tighnari to the cafeteria, holding hands. This time, Crystal was not at the table, just Al Haitham.

The two boys sat down at the table Al Haitham had reserved for them.
„ Congratulations for your relationship, Cyno!", Al Haitham said clapping his hands.
„ Aw thanks! I see Tighnari has told you!", Cyno said as he made eye contact with Tighnari and smiled at him.

„ Well, Crystal told me. She was devastated. She didn't even show up at college today!", Al Haitham said. That made sense why she wasn't present.
„ I know I am hurting Crystal's feelings...but I just hope she finds someone else who will love her and take care of her!", Cyno said.

Everyone took out their food and started to eat in silence for about 15 minutes.

After a while, Al Haitham opened his mouth.
„ Hey do you two mind if I take a photo of you?", he asked. Cyno smiled and nodded his head.
„ Hey Tighnari... are you ok with Al Haitham taking a picture of us?", Cyno asked Tighnari, who seemed to be in his own world.
„ Huh? Oh yeah that's cool!", Tighnari said as he got back to reality.

Both boys smiled as Al Haitham took their picture.

„ Ok, can you guys kiss now for the photo?", Al Haitham asked.

Tighnari and Cyno both turned red. They couldn't tell Al Haitham that their relationship wasn't a real relationship. And they agreed that they wouldn't kiss.

„ We are a little uncomfortable kissing in public! Sorry!", Cyno quickly apologized.

„ Don't worry, I understand!", Al Haitham said as he put his phone away.
„ Close one!", Tighnari thought to himself.

The rest of the day was the same, with lessons and stress for upcoming exams. After college was over, Tighnari could go home.
He took an earlier train, and it wasn't as busy as usual. He got a seat near the window and scrolled through Instagram.

Suddenly, he got a direct message from Cyno. He immediately opened it.

Cyno: Hey can I ask you smth?

Tighnari: Sure!

Cyno: Is it ok if we also "fake date" on social media? People will get suspicious if we don't post anything together.

Tighnari freaked out. His dad followed his account. His dad was extremely homophobic.

Tighnari: I'm sorry, I can't. My dad follows my account. He is extremely homophobic.

Cyno: Oh don't worry! That's fine :)

Tighnari: I haven't seen him in 2 years so I could just remove him from my page. He then won't see anything I post. Then yes, we can post pictures together.

Cyno: You don't have to! I don't want to make you uncomfortable in any way!

Tighnari: Thanks! But we can post pics together :)

Cyno: Ok thanks :)

Tighnari felt relieved as he removed his father from social media. He then changed his Instagram bio, and wrote in his bio:
