What If She Didn't Die?

The Key Part 5

Lexa sighs and helps Clarke up. "We need to warn people."

Clarke shakes her head slightly "no we don't want to cause panic. Our people have just gone through something horrific. They need a little bit of time and we need to discuss it with the head of the clans."

Lexa nods "okay." she says. She starts walking and wants Clarke to follow but Clarke is still weak. When she gets out of the room and to her personal quarters with Clarke she takes Clarke's hand "Clarke I'm worried. What if she lied? What if she lied about the timing." she says

Clarke shakes her head "She wouldn't lie about this. She was made to save humanity and that's all it was for, she isn't lying." Clarke says. She sighs "we never get a break

Lexa chuckles a little "we really don't. But maybe we do for now? Even if it's just a night?" she asks

Clarke smiles a little finally. She nods a little "even a night is nice." She looks from the ground back up to Lexa.

Clarke nods and gets closer to Lexa and kisses her softly.

Lexa kisses back

Clarke yawns after a few minutes. "Maybe we continue another time? I haven't slept in days," she says

Lexa nods "of course." she goes and changes into her sleepwear. Clarke does the same and gets into the commanders' bed. She gets under the covers.

Lexa gets in the bed with Clarke hugging her tightly from behind. Clarke smiles and soon after she falls asleep. Lexa kisses her back and falls asleep soon after Clarke does.

Clarke wakes up a few hours later and feels Lexa isn't hugging her anymore. She gets up after not being able to go back to sleep and decides to look out from the balcony. Clarke looks out at Polis and frowns there was so much death that had gone on all because of A.L.I.E.

Lexa turns over and feels for Clarke but feels she isn't there. She frowns and opens her eyes to see the blonde standing on the balcony. Lexa sits up and stretches a little then gets up and goes to Clarke. She hugs Clarke from behind and then kisses her cheek. "Whats wrong?" she asks.

Clarke stands there looking down at the capital. She has tears in her eyes "I'm okay." she says quietly.

Lexa frowns and kisses Clarkes' shoulder. "There is clearly something wrong. I know I don't normally act like this but I just watched you hang yourself," she says

Clarke has tears going down her cheeks. "That's what I'm thing about. My mother forced me to take the chip and then because of that I almost died. I was locked away in my own mind." Clarke retorts.

Lexa kisses Clarkes neck "I'm not mad, I know that it wasn't you. Nobody was themselves yesterday. I should have stayed here."

Clarke turns to face Lexa. "No if you stayed here you would have died and i can't lose you. My people need you and your people need you. Especially because of what is about to happen to the planets."

Lexa groans "I thought we were going to get back to business tomorrow."

"We were." Clarke replies. She kisses Lexas' cheek

Lexa has a small smile form. "Thank you," she says the smile now turning into a smirk

Clarke looks at Lexa "What? Oh are you thinking of earlier?" she asks and chuckles. She takes Lexas' hands and then starts leading her to the bed. Clarke sits down and looks up at Lexa then smiles.

Lexa follows Clarke to the bed and looks down at her. She smiles and then kisses Clarke softly placing a hand on her cheek "Tonight is about you, you need to destress." Lexa says.

Clarke smiles and then Lexa reaches for Clarkes shirt slowly taking it off. Lexa smirks at the sight. "It been too long," Lexa says

Clarke chuckles "it's been two days," she says as she takes Lexas hand in her own again and kisses it lightly.

Lexa looks down at Clarke and pushes her down on the bed getting on top of her and kissing her softly. Clarke wraps her arms around Lexas waist and grins as Lexa pulls away.
