What If She Didn't Die?

Separation Part 4

Madi smiles a little "I like your name" she says and looks at Clarke now "im six how old are you?" she asks

Clarke smiles a bit more and holds her hands up to pretend to count then after a few moments she says "im nineteen" she says

Madi giggles a little and hugs, Clarke. Clarke tears up a little and hugs the young girl back. "I think we are gonna be good friends." Clarke says

Madi looks at Clarke "I always wanted an older friend!" she says and smiles

"Of course. I've always wanted a younger friend." Clarke says and picks her up "wanna point and tell me everything?" she asks.

Madi nods a little and Clarke smiles "okay." she says and starts limping around a bit.

Clarke was laying on the hood of the Rover looking up at the sky, her appearance had changed dramatically. Mostly because of her hair. She had gotten more muscle and her hair was shortened and died with red underneath the first layer of blonde. She would bring the radio up to her face and start to speak.

"It has been six years and seven days. It's been a year since you guys could come down, we have tried to get to the bunker but we haven't been able to from the rubble that has fallen and blocked it. Lexa if you're hearing this. I love you." she says and then sees a ship enter the atmosphere. She looks and speaks into the radio again "never mind I see you." she says then gets off the Rover. She goes to the open back and gets down to Madi's level

"It's time to wake up little Night Bleeder." she smiles a little and kisses her head "looks like they are coming home I just saw a ship."

Madi gets up as fast as she can and out of the Rover going out to look. She sees the ship flying out. "I thought you said it was smaller."

Clarke squints her eyes and then grabs her riffle and lifts it to look through the scope to see it's not the ship. Her eyes go wide "that's not them-" she says

"What?" she asks

"Go back to the village you know the drill-" Clarke says looking back down at Madi

"You mean with the gun?" Madi asks

"Yes. you do not shoot unless absolutely needed." Clarke says

Madi nods "mom please dont hurt yourself." Madi says before leaving

Clarke gets in the rover after watching out for them for a while seeing nothing and nobody come out yet so she decided to get in the rover and head back to the village.
