"Ruby!"

Chrissy Cunningham's sweet voice called to her as she waved her hands in the air enthusiastically.

"Hey, Chris" Ruby hugged her childhood best friend before turning her attention towards the rest of the girls on the cheer team, "What's up guys?"

All of the girls' attention was now on the breathtaking brunette. They were wearing their cheer outfits, which did not go well with their sympathetic faces, full of pity.

"How are you holding up, honey?" Tina asked in an overly nice tone, stating just how much she actually cared. Ruby rolled her eyes.

Tina thankfully not noticing, her attention shifted to some guys' ass. Typical.

"I'm fine, thanks, Tina" the girl forced herself to answer as politely as she could while presenting a very visible fake smile, but she absolutely hated the bitch. She was always trying to flirt with Billy behind her back, trying and failing at encouraging him to sleep with her.

The argument of 'Don't worry, babe. Your perfect little girlfriend doesn't have to know.' was made multiple times, but Billy always notified Ruby when such a thing would happen. After all, he was the most wanted guy in school. Many girls wanted him, and tried their luck even when knowing he was taken.

Despite of that Ruby wasn't phased. She knew he was loyal to her. She trusted him.

But the fact that Tina, one of her friends was trying to make her boyfriend cheat on her, with herself, made her blood boil and automatically hate the back stabbing so called 'friend'.

Ruby just wanted to leave. Staying in the circle only for the sake of Chrissy.

Chrissy though, almost like she read her best friend's thoughts of wanting to get away from the group said "Girls, maybe we should get inside to set things up. We're starting in a few minutes."

"Tina?" She glared at the girl who's attention was on another group of males.

"I swear to god-" Ruby whispered under her breath as she rolled her eyes again. This woman was desperate.

Tina finally acknowledged the team, who started to head inside of the gym and started to walk herself.

"Goodbye, Ruby" she said and winked, floating away.

"Break a leg..." Ruby raised her voice so the cheerleader will hear her from afar. When she was out of hearing range, she continued her sentence, "...bitch".

Chrissy snickered at that remark. "Definitely."

"I hate her so much." The brunette mumbled.

"I know, Ru. I know." The strawberry blonde replied, rubbing circles on her friend's back before speaking again.
