The whole group was now standing behind Max in one of the school hallways, shining their flashlights onto the wall in front of them, decorated with wide paint stripes of the school signature colors."It was here. Right here." Max said in an almost panicked tone. She was so confused.
"A grandfather clock?" Nancy asked, the redhead nodding in confirmation.
Ruby stood there frozen for a minute. She saw a grandfather clock flash before her eyes like a ghost and heard it ticking faintly the same time as Max, only she wasn't in a trance. She didn't read too much into it at the time, she couldn't, for Max's sake, but now looking into it and starting to understand what's going on with the two of them is simply terrifying.
But Max needed her right now, she couldn't let herself be weak.
"It was so real." Max shook her head in disbelief.
"And then, when I got closer, suddenly I just...I woke up."
"It's okay, Maxi." Ruby whispered to her, putting a comforting hand on the girl's shoulder.
"It was like she was in a trance or something. Exactly what Eddie said happened to Chrissy." Dustin explained to all of them.
Max turned around to face them, her breath shaking with fear.
"That's not even the bad part."

They were all back in the counselor's office, Max standing on one side of the desk, Ruby behind her. Robin sat on the other side as Steve, Dustin and Nancy stood surrounding the desk.
Max rested her hands on the surface of the wooden desk, and began explaining as Ruby stood there, leaning on the wall with her arms crossed on her chest, looking over the redhead's shoulder at what she was displaying to them.
"Fred and Chrissy, they both came to Miss Kelley for help." She said pointing lightly at the files showcased near her hands, her voice shaking.
Robin took the file and slid a paper closer to her so she could read it as Max resumed speaking.
"Uh, they both were having headaches, bad headaches that wouldn't go away. And then...then the nightmares. Trouble sleeping. They'd wake up in a cold sweat. And then they started seeing things. Bad things. From their past. And these visions, they just...they kept on getting worse and worse, until eventually...everything ended."
"Vecna's curse." Robin stated.
"Chrissy's headaches started a week ago."
The group looked at Max with horror and anticipation for her next words in their eyes.
