After facing extreme judgment and bullying for not being born with a quirk yet having the dream of becoming a hero.

Aizawa: Bakugo... care to explain why you were using your quirk illegally to assault Midoriya?

Stain sneered.

Stain: I was right. You are a fake.

Another subtle thing we see is how quite literally everyone present in Midoriya's life has the desire to become a hero. What is life without being a hero?

Deku: W-w-where a-are they getting this footage? There was no camera next to me throughout my life... and why are they talking about me?

Shigaraki sneered, "That is what society is all about now. Heroes heroes heroes".

This influx of the hero occupation breeds an over-reliance and overpopulation of heroes as we also have visually shown to us in [redacted] with a giant villain attack. While a villain rampages through the streets people are continuing on with their day-to-day lives or even smiling.

All Might: That's true. It can be... extremely frustrating at times.

All For One: Whoever this is... he's right on the money.

Shigaraki: All of them smiling because the symbol of peace was active, and even now they're still smiling. Pathetic.

Stain wanted to kill Shigaraki here and now, but a sudden chill went down his spine and he decided not to.

Showing absolutely no fear as to what's happening. At the same time, these two heroes were not at all put to the test as All Might held basically 40 years of peace in Japan. 

Everywhere he went, crime spiked down. Having a single pillar has its problems. Besides the over-reliance as mentioned prior. What would happen if this pillar toppled? We'll get to that later.

The number one harasser in Midoriya's life benefits massively from the expectations placed upon somebody in this superhuman society. Bakugo Katsuki, despite being obviously an asshole-

Nezu: I've noticed how the school Midoriya went to allowed illegal quirk usage, and assault on him. Perhaps I should... take some action.

Deku: I-it i-isn't r-really ne-necessary!

Aizawa glared at Deku this time.

Aizawa: We. Will. Talk. About. This. Later. Understood?

Deku shrunk in his seat. "Y-yes Aizawa-sensei".

He is built up by adults and teachers alike due to a promising quirk alone. Most if not all of his behavioral issues are swept under the rug by parental figures simply due to his potential, leading to basically hell on Earth for Midoriya.
