[ A Moment In Time ]

What is there to live for?

The question she had in mind whilst blankly gazing out the window of the train. Her unconscious questions were always needless of answers, yet if one does happen to come, she doesn't mind knowing.

That particular day was hazy, extremely cloudy with a high chance of rain, and even if she preferred staying in during those types of weather, she was there, coercing herself to have a decent day.

Raki turned her attention away from the moist window, not liking how nauseous it was making her feel anymore, her eyes landed at an old couple, seated side by side with an atmosphere much different from hers.

Why do people fall in love?

Do people fall in love because they feel the need to? Or does it just happen naturally? Is it benefitting? Or they just do it to feel less. . lonely?

How could she talk about love, stare at a couple who seemed to be in-love with such a dull, straight face? Not acknowledging of what it feels like to be in-love but on what does it do to people that makes it so significant.

Is she that hopeless?

Perhaps.

Had she ever fallen in love before?

Not really.

She looked around and soon down at her dark colored bag that was laying comfortably on her lap the whole train ride as soon as the speaker announced of their arrival.

She stood up and quietly made her way outside alongside with the people whom she was in the same ride with.

Raki was quite anxious of leaving the roofed train stop for a few reasons, first the clouds looked more and more darker and heavier, then she didn't have an umbrella if rain does start to pour, and the few others were something about her not knowing what to do at that whole new different city she got herself in.

It has started to drizzle, and she stood there, gripping on her bag, her mind occupied by some other things rather than pondering about solutions to her present problem.

As if doing nothing would give her something.

She sighed heavily, over that minor inconvenience, it was unbelieving that she didn't have the will to do anything anymore.

With a step forward, she thought that there was just really nothing she could do about how she couldn't even carry a stupid umbrella and if she does gets completely soaked in rain then so be it.

Two more steps, and that was it when her feet halted on its own, given that she was outside the train stop already, raindrops should fall on her instantly, yet there wasn't any, all she saw was a dark blue umbrella over her, sheltering her from the rain.

As she turned around, it was a guy, a tall undeniably attractive guy holding the umbrella purposely for her.

How long does it take for a person to fall in love?

The occupying thought she had at that very moment. She didn't even know where it came from, all she knew was that there's this umbrella guy and right there and then, she became curious of how much time does it take for a person to fall in love.

A second? A minute? Maybe, a day? A year or two? Or perhaps the exact amount of time when you are about to go into the rain yet someone opened an umbrella to shelter you?

"No way.", She mumbled, answering her last assumption.

Yet in an incomprehensible way, the umbrella guy heard it, making him lift his eyebrows in confusion with a questioning hum.
