[ I Would Hate You, Nevertheless ]
In spite of the fact that Raki could just wrap her palm around the doorknob and twist it to get herself inside, she instead closed her eyes shut, standing right infront of her home's front door, rethinking all her life's decision;
From the moment she first met him, at that time when she agreed to his considerate offer to walk with her all the way to the town under his umbrella, up the moment when he basically told her that she wasn't worth to stay for. .
. .which actually placed a heavy weight in her chest; it ached.
She heaved a deep sigh, trying to breathe away the thoughts, but frankly, no matter how much she'll do it, nothing would change, it'll all just remain as how it is. .
. .which was also a pain.
If it was so easy to shift her mind into thinking something completely different the same way how she went through the front door and see how different it is inside from the outside, she would've already done it.
There are moments in our lives that are better off forgotten, yet sometimes, some moments aren't just easy to forget.
They could be out of mind at times, but they are always bound to come back.
"It's already dark. Where have you been?", She was instantly welcomed with her older brother by coming in, worried drawn on his face as he awaited for his younger sister to give her reason.
However, what her brother had in return was her looking away by rolling her eyes, already taking steps past him, and answered, "Outside."
Her brother turned around to gaze at her gradually creating a distance from him. "Do you know how dangerous it is for you to be alone outside at night?", His brother warned, his voice already raising.
"I know, that's why I do it.", Raki replied without looking back, her voice dead.
It was disrespectful for her to treat her brother like that who was years older than her, but she doesn't care. She didn't feel the need to care.
"Why do you leave home everyday, huh? Do you hate it that much?", At that point, her brother had just had it and threw his temper, like how he always had, for probably every day she comes home.
"Yes.", She answered, this time facing her older brother, yet her voice was still as dead and cold as a corpse.
Her brother sighed in annoyance as he briefly looked away. "For once, can't you just stop being so stubborn and listen?"
She was as exhausted as her older brother with the scolding and arguments. She just didn't understand why he always have a say on what she wants to do.
"You have to know that sometimes things does not go how you want it to be."
Her brows furrowed as she looked at him straight in the eyes. "Stop acting like Dad.", She said in a low voice, the both of them glaring at each other.
Her brother grew confused. "What do you mean?"
The look her brother gave her just made her even more vexed. "You're not Dad, so stop acting like you are.", Her tone clearly raised, it was the first time in a while, as with things happening on that day, it just became inevitable. "Stop telling me what to do and stop acting like you care."
She left her brother with those words, stomping exasperatingly towards her bedroom. It wasn't like she had any good days to consider that day a bad day. It was just more annoying, and painful and she just had to recall memories that she prefers to be rather forgotten.
