[ And She Was Done For. Outright Done For ]
With his mouth hovering over the crook of her neck, Jeonghan asked, "Should I order food delivery?", Her skin sensitive where every breath of his words blew, she couldn't even seem to pay attention to what they contained.Raki choked back her urge to gasp, needing to pull herself away from him to keep her composure, yet not wanting to at the same time. "Food delivery?", She was so lost at that moment, she was lucky enough to answer the right questions. "Why?"
He, ever so slowly, drew back, staring down at her as soon as he was in the position to, his hands lingering on her waist. "I know you haven't eaten anything.", There was just something in his voice that made mere and trivial words sound like a whole confession. Something that would make you fall helplessly in love with a person— and if you already do, even more.
She gazed at him far longer than she intended to, she couldn't help it when she has always wanted to, and he was there, equally doing as much. Her heart was beating so much, yet there was something peaceful about it, and it didn't make her knees weak nor left her feeling afraid.
For once, she wasn't afraid of feeling for him, letting herself sink into him without the fear of inevitably drowning, because before that moment, falling for Jeonghan was as suffocating as falling into deep waters, and lucky is the person who can keep their heads above the surface.
Yet, at that moment, she felt as if she was floating, over those waves she used to drown beneath.
Raki briefly glanced at her bedside table, smiling because of so many reasons. "I had chinese noodles delivered to me earlier, I haven't touched them yet.", Looking up at him, her eyes brightened from the thought of a sudden memory. "And it's for two people. I think I ordered for two."
"Really?", The look he was giving her made her nod with hesitation. His composure was uncanny, if she could say so herself. "Were you expecting someone?"
The relief was surreal after presuming that there was actually something wrong with what she said. But perhaps, there was.
Or was he just playing with her?
Raki mirrored his nonchalance, playing along. "I reckon you'd come by.", Then she shrugged her shoulders casually. It was literally minutes ago when she was crying on his very shoulders, and yet there they were.
His lips broke into a grin, his eyes filling with so much admiration, it was almost overwhelming him. "You know me so well."
Jeonghan pulled her into another hug, tightly wrapping his arms around her, laughing into her hair, making each second count, one last more before he looks forward to another.
Once free from his confinement, warm warm confinement, she held onto both of his arms and gazed up at him with her twinkling eyes. "Let's microwave the noodles downstairs."
He helplessly smiled at her, nodding distractedly as her sole presence inhabited his mind. "Alright."
Raki's eyes followed his every movement as he rose to stand, watching as he comfortably fit her hand into his, before hoisting her up and leading her towards her bed.
She quickened her pace to get past him, extending her unoccupied hand to the bedside table to reach for the paper bag containing the chinese noodles. "I'll hold it.", Then gave him a smile as she turned to him, which he just nodded to, his smile as content.
With a few steps ahead, she was the one leading the way then, to the door and out to the other side, descending the stairs and at some point placed her forefinger over her lips, gesturing him to be quiet.
