[ Following Thy Own Will Had Never Been This Hard ]
In a point in that late night time at that milkshake shop, Raki wanted to, full force, run her hand through her hair, the infuriated type of way, yet she felt strongly incapable of doing so, atleast not when he's around.
She felt so disappointed of herself. She felt as if the outcomes of her choices will always be regret. And most importantly, but not really, she felt like a sucker for still considering what he'll think about her, when right there and then, he was the one causing her, her problems.
"This is not a part of our agreement.", Raki contended, her eyebrows, with every passing second, stitching together.
"We did not make an agreement. .", Jeonghan made a slight pause with his lips setting in a line, appearing as if he knew that what he was about to say next was going to lit the fire even more. ". .uh, yet."
"Well. .", She leaned her back to the chair, quite strangely at ease. ". .bold of you to assume that I'm going to agree to make an agreement with you."
In the whole duration of that time, she swore that the look on his face only told her that every word he was saying were structured to be believed, and that no matter how much she tries to argue, she just doesn't have a choice.
"You have to. It's kind of an unspoken rule."
Confusion took over her, it gradually reflected on her face and he was quite quick to notice.
His eyebrows lifted, the look of trying to make a point. "Because when you agreed to help me earlier, it's like you have partially agreed to the agreement that we are about to make.", He spoke the few last words slowly in hesitation, yet for her, he still sounded as shameless as he could.
Who knew that it was actually her fault for agreeing to him and helping him?
"I clearly said earlier that I did not agree to help you.", She breathed her tension out, yet there were still so much more left. "You coerced me.", She knew that she was exaggerating, but it couldn't be helped, she felt too much.
Imagine someone whom you don't know much of asks you for a favor of pretending to be their fiancée and you try to decline but he makes reasons that you can't just seem to escape?
"What?", He appeared deeply offended. "I did not."
"You did."
"I did not.", He emphasized. "I only said please.", His little frown terrifyingly altered into a smirk, and that made her anxious, well, everything he does makes her anxious, and that's something she's still in question of. "I didn't know that you had such a soft spot for me."
His eyes never strayed away from her, wanting to see how she would react, how her always blank straight face would alter into something warmer and expressive, yet to his disappoinment, she just looked at him with a face seemingly unaffected by anything.
"I can't see any reason why I should make an agreement with you."
With the change of her gaze and her tone of voice that had seem to reach to its deepest point, Jeonghan straightened his back as he cleared his throat.
He was aware that he shouldn't just joke around with her right then when she's the one whom he needs the most. She's the one who he has introduced to his parents, and it's rational that no other person could take her place.
He should be able to convince her, no matter what it takes.
"Look, if there's one person that could pretend to be my fiancée, it's you. You're the one that my parents first saw. Would you yourself think that it would be logical to introduce another person as my fiancée when they have already met you?"
