[ Is It Everything To Get To Know Someone? ]
If there was anything that Raki had regretted doing for the past seconds of her life, it was probably showing up to meet him again even if she knew well that it meant that she was going to agree to make an agreement with him to pretend to be his fake fiancée and deceive his parents, yet even if she had to go back in time, in all probability, she would have chosen to do the exact same thing over and over again.
Even if she knew that it wouldn't be a win-win situation as much as he possibly believed it to be.
Regardless of the consequences she'll inevitably experience by the time they called it quits, she would go to him and given her presence, he would know that the next few steps were for them to face together.
It was foolish and she was hardly satisfied with her decision, yet, what can a fast beating heart do?
"Die.", She subconsciously mumbled, answering the question inside her mind.
Theoretically, a person is at risk of early death if their heart beats extra faster than average.
Lowering his hand with the cigarette in between his fingers, Jeonghan tends his attention towards her with the slight creasing of his forehead. "What did you say?", He asked, and Raki became a tad scared as he heard her without her intention.
It wasn't even a nice word to begin with, how can she just say it again?
She pursed her lips before opening them to say what she had just said again, yet in a more sensible way. . she hopes. "I said that. . that you. . you could die if you continuously smoke."
Raki inwardly heaved a relieved sigh. She at least somehow managed to give an answer that didn't result to him looking at her weirdly.
The corners of his lips raised into a smirk, and she swore that it never failed to terrify her alongside with the words that came along with it. "Are you worried about me?"
Her face made an instant scrunch. "I only said that there's a possibility that you could die if you continuously smoke, I didn't say that I didn't want you to die."
He scoffed, and that made her realize what she had just spat out resulting to her pressing her lips into a fine line, wishing to just shush herself until he won't see her again.
"So what you're pertaining is, you want me to die?"
She actually do hope that he was just joking, that he didn't took her words seriously, which she did said seriously but, in all honesty, didn't intend to construct her words offensively.
It sounded way polite inside her mind. And she wondered how on earth did it came out completely different.
It could go like; 'I warned you about how cigarettes could risk your life, but it doesn't mean that I'm worried about you.'
"I didn't mean it that way, I just. .I did not intend to come off as if I wanted you to die, okay?", Her brows instinctively frowned, appearing as if she had just realized something. "It's not even right to wish for people to die. .", she muttered to herself.
"You know what? . .", He started, and her attention shifted towards him in a matter of seconds. As bad as it sounds, not a single word from him did ever not make her care.
"I just can't seem to read you.", He spoke and what contained them made her eyebrows flinch.
"Why?", She questioned, frankly quite invested.
For as long as she knew, she never expected anyone to often think about her, perhaps just once out of people's thousands of thoughts a day. . and to want to be actually read, to her, no one has compared to that yet.
