[ Conversations, Late Night Walks, Him ]

He told her specifically not to fall, yet what was he doing?

Raki was aware, well sort of, that he didn't mean anything more than just wanting to accompany her to avoid going home early.

However, when a person sets boundaries, it's a given that they shouldn't do anything else that could lead to a closer proximity, because, well, they laid down boundaries.

It was confusing her so much, one moment he doesn't want for them to fall in love with each other, and another, he wants to accompany her at a time when it was unecessary for them to be together as per their agreement.

Not that she strongly demur against it, she didn't mind having him in company at all, but for pete's sake- he forbid of them to fall for each other.

She wouldn't make such a fuss about it if he was unlikeable, but damn it, he could just be standing there, at a corner, on a busy street, in the midst of any amount of crowds, yet he could be the only one her eyes would solely look at.

He was just so easy to place inside one's mind.

And his words. Those words, "Then let's not go home together yet."

He could move mountains (which was somehow equivalent to hearts) with just a certain choice of words.

"You have your own place.", Raki laughed in a breathy and quiet way to shrug off the immense impact that his mere words left. "You can always not go home if you don't want to."

She swore that there was just something about his face that was informing her that he didn't want to go home as much as she does.

"Can I tag along anyway?"

Raki pursed her lips, trying to contain something she wasn't certain about, like a smile or something much more different. "You're making it seem like I'm pushing you away."

The more he questioned, the more his eyebrows lifted. "Well, are you?"

"No, I'm not."

He had then took a couple of steps away from his car as if it had never been a part of his intention that night.

As if them continuing to walk to wherever direction their feet's would take them was how things should be.

He wasn't exactly sure where he was supposed to be, of what he should be doing, or of what should come about with his life, yet that night, at that very moment when he saw those look in her eyes that spoke of how much staying out until the dead of the night meant to her, all he wanted was to accompany her and sealed that he was right where he needed to be.

"You're not as cold as I ought you'd always be.", She was unreadable, almost too unpredictable and he already took note of that, yet he couldn't just help but acknowledge that tiny speck of detail.

Raki could stare at him for hours and ponder about how he'd come about to think like that.

But, to be fair, she thought he was a selfish liar who was reckless with his words.

"You're not so bad yourself.", She replied in an intentional reserved way, barely giving him a glance. It was somewhat of an understatement, because she knew herself that he was way more than a not so bad.

However, in Jeonghan's perception, somehow, he received it as a flawless statement. It might have sounded moderate or less than that, but he appreciated it considering that she possibly viewed him as an egocentric rebel as an initial thought.
