[ Get In Together, Get Off Alone ]

Eleven Months Later. .

There was something about that empty feeling that persistently keeps following her.

No matter where she is, no matter what she was doing, there just couldn't seem a thing that could make her feel as if there could be something more.

Perhaps the disappointment, the time passing by so quickly that she can't even seem to stop and ease up, the people — they go into her life and. .

Raki breathed out, briefly closing her eyes to wash away her thoughts, and instead divert her attention to what was surrounding her;

Dark grey clouds, rumbling sky, people walking by and their distant conversations. It was a late afternoon, and the only reason why she was outside wandering around the city was because she hated home.

She should probably go back already as rain could happen soon, yet instead of doing that, she was getting more father away from home.

She liked the rain anyway, there was something about it that amused her, and all the memories she has with it. .

If she could go back a few months back and change one thing, she would, by all means.

Even after sundown, the rain which she had been expecting the whole time has yet to pour. It was quite fortunate of her, as even though she was fond of it, she still didn't like the idea of getting rained on unless she purposely wanted it.

As the night did come, Raki decided to go to a fine dining restaurant as her last stop before she goes back home. It was going to be her first proper meal for that day, but for some reason, she didn't feel at all thrilled about going to eat considering that she should be starving by then.

It just seemed like everything she does is done because it has to be done.

"Good evening, ma'am!", Raki slightly bowed down her head as the host of the restaurant greeted her welcome. "Did you make a reservation?", The host added.

"No, I didn't. Is it possible if I could get a seat?", Raki asked, fidgeting the hem of her coat.

The host nodded for a short while, seemingly thinking of a solution to her request. "Will any seat be alright?", Her eyebrows flinched with the little hope from the host's suggestion.

"Yes, sure.", she answered. 'as long as it's decent enough for a dinner.', she said inwardly.

"Then please excuse me.", The host turned his back on her and went into the dining area to take care of the matters.

Raki proceeded to unconsciously fidget the hem of her coat as she waited for the host to come back, taking glances inside the dining area curious of how the host and her seat was doing and rocking on her heel from time to time.

Yet, before she could possibly worn her coat by rubbing it between her fingers too much, the host eventually came back and she wished that the smile on the host's face brought good news.

"Unfortunately, all the seats are taken."

'What was the use of his happy face?', she thought to herself.

"But a customer who's dining alone offered the vacant seat on his table.", Raki's face was somehow slightly perplexed the whole time the host was explaining. "Would you like to take it, ma'am?"

How in the world would someone offer his seat with her? Let alone the fact that, that person possibly doesn't even know her?

"Uhm. . yeah. I'll take it."
