[ Lightheaded And A Bit Lost ]
It was as though Raki's brain was being pricked by pointy things and there was nothing that she could do about it.
Unless willingly passing out was a choice, then she would do all she can to knock her out of her own consciousness. Yet, she couldn't, she didn't want to, not when he was there, right in front of her and would inevitably notice her when she would do as little as to flinch.
The ache had somehow extended to every corners where she could profoundly feel it until no thoughts were telling her to persist, to hold on just a bit more and maybe then she'd feel alright again. But, there was just a space in her mind, occupied by the idea of unpleasant pain.
When it couldn't be helped anymore, Raki's elbow landed on the countertop and so did her forehead on her palm. She was incapable of doing anything aside from cursing all the things that she could think of that had led her to that torment of a moment.
As the inevitable happened, Jeonghan dropped everything that used to occupy him and treaded across the countertop to get closer to her and hold her. He went down on one knee to get a better look of her face and asked, "What do you feel?"
"Pain.", Her sole reply and it sounded more like a whisper, yet he heard her, and he did nothing else more but to lend her a hand for her to stand up as he quickly decided on taking her back to the bedroom.
"Can you still walk?", Jeonghan then began to gradually walk, his arm around her shoulders as he led her.
"I can.", She felt still capable of so many things, like taking a few steps and so, and asking why he needed to ask of such, "Why?"
The way his body felt intensely close behind her took her back to some of her senses and she felt more conscious than she have ever felt that morning.
"Because I'll carry you if you can't.", He said, seemingly not trying to kid her, and she'd forgotten of all the torment already, was it even there at the first place? Raki couldn't tell anymore.
At that point, she could only wonder if her feelings could already decide of whatever it was that it wanted to feel. It was all over the place, here and there, and if by any chance she could take the moment to recollect them, she would. But she couldn't just have the moment.
"Are you alright?", Jeonghan asked.
She immediately felt uneasy as she pondered of his reason to ask. Did he notice something her body did that she wasn't aware of? "Yeah. . Wh- Why?"
"You're stiffening. Is the pain growing?"
As soon as he said it, she had become fully aware of how rigid she was in his hold. Raki gritted her teeth in shame, inferring that everything was becoming a bad idea. "No, it's- it's not."
Raki parted from his hold and walked ahead by an inch. "I've told you that I could still walk, right?", She reminded him, however, it was easier thought than done. Without his support, her legs were all frail and weak.
It wasn't like she could go back to his arms- that she can't ever do, unless the circumstances were different and he was the one who would seize her back. But, it wasn't like she would expect that he would do that too.
It was so disbelieving that she had managed to make things complicated over a mere thing in a span of a second.
As she miserably ambled through the door of the bedroom, she could sense how close Jeonghan was to her, as if he was still keeping her from falling in some other way and, perhaps, if ever she did, he'd no doubt catch her at once.
