[ For The Umbrella You Offered ]

For the record, Raki had never had a boyfriend before, let alone a fiancé. And getting dragged by a guy to make her meet his parents over a dinner, pretending to be something she's clearly not, she wasn't quite sure how to not get caught.

She wasn't the social type anyway to begin with, nor was she a people pleaser. She didn't like the idea of meeting people at all. If anything, under any circumstances, she would just rather choose to be by her own self and make the the most of her time that way.

He has successfully pushed her out of her comfort zone, and if ever she gets too uncomfortable, she was anxious of screwing things up, all the more when she gets his blame for it.

However, she was quite curious of how it was so easy for him to lie to his parents over such a fundamental thing as formally introducing his fiancé.

Furthermore, the amount of effort she put on comprehending that she was actually the one pretending, of all people he met that day, was somewhat unmeasurable.

"You know what,", Jeonghan's Mom looked at Raki with her lower lip slightly thrusted out, yet she until then appeared as happy as she did. "I'm still as curious as to why Jeonghan never introduced you to us before, he just always tells us that he has a fiancé.", His Mom said, and Raki took a glance at Jeonghan for a second, not sure how to react to the information. "We even thought that he was just deceiving us so we would stop pestering him about it.", His Mom added, shifting her gaze to Jeonghan with those upset eyes.

Raki was having so much trouble understanding them too. Not that it was that bizarre, but do other parents actually find it normal for their children to introduce someone as their fiancé already?

Because of her own belief, introducing a girlfriend (still a girlfriend, not engaged) would be more likely.

"I was just looking for the perfect time to do it.", Jeonghan commented as if he was sorry, yet if she judged on surface level, he did not seem sincere. "And besides, what's important now is that you've already met her, right?"

His Mom did a fake eye roll, setting her lips into a line. "Alright, sure."

Raki tend her attention to him once again. ‘Cunning Jeonghan, managing to always get away with anything.’, she said inwardly, actually quite amazed.

"So tell me, how did you two meet?", Jeonghan's Dad's attention were on her, seemingly wanting the answer to his question to come from her.

And burdened to do so, she started, "We—uh. .met—"

"We met at a train stop.", Jeonghan cut in, and she had never thought on saying that nor did she expected for him to tell that as a reason of how they met, which was actually how they truly met.

"A train stop? That's romantic.", His Mom had an instant grin.

If she was drinking water, she could've chocked over how his Mom perceived their real first meet.

"It was raining and she happened to not bring an umbrella so I offered to share mine, and. . everything just happened."

She was not pleased with the amount of time she turned her gaze towards him, but she couldn't help it, most especially when he says things that just seemed to have an effect on her.

Raki didn't really think that those memories that contained of them together would stay in his mind, and he was the one who made her believe so when he told her how she didn't worth anything to him.

That even in the first place, he didn't want those memories  when he straight up told her that he didn't have anything of value to stay for.

So, why didn't he just lie? Like how he did when he deceived them into thinking that he has a fiancé?
