Saige's POV

"I'm getting hungry, and you promised me lunch," Wesley whined.

"Shut up! I will get you your damn lunch in a minute," I sassed.

"Someone's cranky," he muttered jokingly, I think at least.

"Hey, you're the one that made me cranky," I shot back. He held his hands up defensively.

"Come on! I want to show you a place after we get lunch," he insisted. Wesley actually let me drive his car, so we just ran through the drive thru of In n Out. We ate, trying not to spill anything on his baby. I was thinking about purposely doing it to see how pissed I could make him. I decided on not doing it though because he was in a pretty good mood.

"Alright, and now for our destination number . . . like 10," he chuckled. He hopped in the drivers seat when we pulled over. He maneuvered through car after car until we reached the beach.

"What's so special about the beach? I almost drowned here the other day, thanks to your great teaching skills, and it's not very appealing to me anymore," I teased.

"I think it was the student, not the teacher," he corrected. We got out of the car and he took the lead. We walked along the edge of the sand until we were at the end of where all the people were. He looked around as if to see if anyone was watching, and he took my arm and pulled me behind a bunch of rocks. We climbed over and on top of rock after rock.

"Close your eyes," he instructed. I rolled my eyes and did as he said. I felt myself being pulled into a place that was enclosed, away from the sun. There was water running, and it was echoing really load. I heard him whisper 'open', so I did.

"This is beautiful. How did you find it?" I gasped in amazement. It was a beautiful cove with a waterfall right outside. It was like a whole different part of the beach, one people don't think to look for.

"I was just mad one day, so I came to the beach, walked around for a long time, and found this. I don't usually bring people here, so consider yourself lucky. Keaton doesn't even know," he told me.

"Why did you share such a special place with me? Out of all people?" I wondered.

"Because you're special," he said softly. At that moment, everything that I used to like about Wesley came rushing back into my head. His sweetness, his smile that could light up anyone's world, his big hazel eyes that you could get lost in, his laugh that was so cute, his amazing hugs, everything I missed.

"Thanks, Wesley," I smiled, and I could tell by the warmness in my cheeks that I was blushing. We stayed silent for a couple minutes, taking in all the beauty. All my mind wanted to think about was how much I missed the thing I had with Wesley. I always wanted a relationship with him, but to be honest, I was scared. I'm not scared anymore, but there's still a problem: Elijah, and I'm not going to break his heart when we came here to spend the summer together.

Maybe I just missed Wesley a lot, so I'm just happy that I have him back as a friend. I'll let the feeling go for a couple days, and it'll probably go away.

"We should probably get going. Drew and Mari are most likely wondering where we are, and that's probably not a good thing," he chuckled a little. They weren't wondering where we were. Mari doesn't, and I know Drew doesn't care. Did he want me gone, out of his safe haven spot? Did I say something, do something, that he doesn't want to spend time with me anymore?

We arrived at home and unloaded all the groceries. As soon as we did, I hurried to my room and shut the door. There was no lock, but if there was I would have used it. I got my laptop out and searched up some of Wesley's xFactor interviews. I want, no, need to find out what that girl was talking about. I watched around four of them, but still couldn't find it. The fifth times a charm, right? Wrong. I watched over seven, and apparently eight times a charm.

"So, do you boys have any girls that you're crushing on?" the interviewer asked. They all looked at Wesley. "I guess Mr. Stromberg in the middle has got something to spill," she laughed.

"It's nothing really. There's this girl named Saige. She's an old time friend, and we had our moments. She didn't really want anything to do with me, so here we are," he nervously, but sadly, chuckled.

"Tell us about her," she encouraged.

"She's got long, brown hair, rich brown eyes that light up every time she's happy, she's just gorgeous," he described, getting lost in every word. Did he really think I wanted nothing to do with him? As I was finishing it up, there was a knock on my door. I jumped at the sudden noise. I quickly slammed my laptop shut when Wesley entered.

"What were you watching? You seem upset," he noticed.

"No, I'm extremely happy," I grinned like an idiot. But it's true, I was. That made me feel like the only girl in the world. Elijah has truly never made me feel that special. He's a great guy, don't get me wrong, but we just haven't had a special moment in a long time.

"Well, the party's already starting, so let's go downstairs," he said. Let the party begin.
