Mariana's POV

*Three Weeks Later*

Saige and I decided to spend some of our last summer days at the beach together. We both had to start getting ready for school, and we had to start looking for our own apartment.

We're at the beach right now, and Saige has been pretty quiet today.

"Is everything okay, Saige? You've been acting weird today," I asked, concerned.

"I'm fine," she assured. Everyone knows when someone says they're fine, they're really not.

"I'm your best friend, Saige. You can literally tell me anything, and you should know that. I know when something's up with you."

"I've just been thinking a lot lately."

"About what?"

"Wesley and I. What if we don't work out? I'm starting school soon, and he has music to focus on. What happens if we don't have time for each other, and we grow apart?"

"Saige Reese Jackson! You two have been through so much together. This is exactly what you were always worried about. Stop worrying about it! He loves you so much, and he's not going to leave you," I assured. She was silent after that, but I let her go for awhile.

She soon decided she wanted to go home, so we left. When we got home, I did the dishes and took the trash out. I was putting the trash in the bin outside the house when the bag broke. I was picking up all the pieces when I stumbled across something I was very confused about. I knew it wasn't mine, so there's only one more persons it could be.

"Saige! Come here!" I yelled, walking into the house with it.

"What's wrong?" She gave me a blank, scared stare when she saw the stick in my hand.

"I didn't want you finding out, Mari," she whispered.

"Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant? Does Wesley know? Oh my gosh, Saige! You two are going to be parents," I gasped in disbelief. How could I be so stupid? The puking? I should've known she wasn't sick.

"Stop, Mariana! He doesn't know yet, and I'm scared to tell him," she almost cried. There were evident tears forming in her eyes. I don't understand why she wouldn't tell me.

"He needs to know," I said.

"I know he does! Do you think this is easy? He's not going to want a child. He's only 20! He's still young and living his dream. This is exactly what I didn't want. I can't believe we were so stupid," she said, her silent cries turning into loud sobs.

"I'll be with you every step of the way," I assured her. I would support her through anything. I'm just nervous to see what Wesley will do since they're going on tour soon.
